🏊🏼‍♂️ What a journey for Oakley at the Age State Championships in Perth! 🏊🏼‍♂️

From learning the basics with Abbra as his swim instructor, through to being coached by her at HASC, this moment was a special full-circle experience. To see Oakley standing at State Championships with the same coach who helped guide his early swimming days is something truly wonderful.

Oakley gave it everything he had in the pool and came away with another amazing experience, more memories, and so much to be proud of. These are the moments that show how far he has come and how much heart he brings to every swim.

Meet Storm Wheeler – our Squad Coach and Treasurer. She's the one reminding swimmers that the clock doesn't lie, celebrating every PB like it's an Olympic final, and firmly believing there's no such thing as "just one more lap"... because somehow it always turns into five. 😂🏊

She's your biggest cheerleader... right up until it's time for another set. Then suddenly she's all, "Ten seconds. Go again!" 😅
Get to know the coach who's equal parts encouragement, tough love, and just a little bit addicted to saying, "One more!" 💙

If you've trained under Abbra, you'll know there's no shortcut to success... and definitely no getting away with a lazy turn. 😉

Armed with a sharp eye for technique and a knack for getting the best out of every swimmer, she's the coach who'll push you to improve—even when you're convinced you've got nothing left in the tank.

When she's not on pool deck keeping swimmers on their toes, she's also helping behind the scenes as a valued committee member, making sure HASC keeps moving in the right direction.

If you've ever been wandering around wondering, "Where am I supposed to be?"... don't worry—Kanika has probably already found you. 😂🏊

Meet one of our amazing Committee Members and the mastermind behind marshalling our swimmers on club nights. Armed with a clipboard, plenty of patience, and a voice that somehow cuts through the poolside chaos, Kanika keeps our swimmers in the right place at the right time.

Let's be honest... without her, we'd probably have breaststrokers in the butterfly, freestylers in the medley, and a few swimmers still lining up for last week's race! 😆
