Due to unpredictable weather, management has decided to close the complex from Friday 7/3 till Monday 10/3. We will reopen as normal from 5:30am on Monday.

Good Afternoon,
With deteriorating weather conditions, Management has made the decision to cancel ALL squads, LTS, MS, SD, toddler lessons and Gymnastics for Thursday 6/3 and Friday 7/3.
The complex is still open and all adult Gym/ Aqua classes are still operating as normal. Hydrotherapy sessions will be available but at the descretion of the providers. Although depending on weather condtions we may be closed Friday 7/3. We will make the call tommorrow.

The south pool has had to be closed temporarily due to an incident that happen at 5.10pm the pool needs to be closed for 2 hours for sanitation purposes. Sorry for the inconvenience...

Unfortunately, Liz is away this week and we have not been able to source a Boxfit instructor. This means no Boxfit Mon or Wed night this week. The gear will be available for those wishing to still do a Boxfit workout. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes.

Grafton Aquatic Centre is seeking Pool Lifeguards for the 2022-2023 Season.
Grafton Aquatic is seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and self-motivated people to join our staff for the upcoming 2022- 2023 summer season. (24th September to 6th April).
Duties involved in the above position are (but not limited to)
• Supervision of Patrons- You will be expected to supervise patrons to assure everyone can enjoy our Aquatic Centre in a safe and stress-free environment. (Certain times the complex will be very busy e.g., holidays).
• Staff should have good communication skills as there is substantial face to face interaction with patrons.
• Basic computing and mathematical skills for canteen operations during the limited staff occupancy times
• You will be responsible for preparing the complex when opening E.g., Arriving with enough time to unlock the complex, turn lights on, prepare the entrance for patrons to access and water quality testing.
• General cleaning duties are but not limited to, Vacuuming of pools, manual cleaning of pool walls, cleaning of changerooms, cleaning of the grounds.
• Manual handling of pool chemicals (Onsite training provided)
• Hosing/pressure cleaning concourse around the complex.
• Basic literacy skills for taking phone messages, reporting hazards and injury/incident reporting.
Essential Requirements
• Willingness to work weekends, Public Holidays, School Holidays, and early mornings.
• Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Working with Children Check.

27th and 28th August 2022

A First aid certificate is mandatory for successful completion of a Pool Lifeguard Licence.

Responsibilities while on shift
• Ensure patrons enjoy a safe and enjoyable time while on duty
• Communicate/Educate to all patrons about our Pool Rules
• Work with other team members and management
• Follow instruction from Management
• First Aid when required
• Identify dangerous situations/behaviours and rectify or report to management
• Cleaning of changerooms including toilets.
• Cleaning of pools and surrounds.

*Unfortunately will be cancelling Tuesdays 9:30am PILATES class from our timetable today, as our long time instructor Paola has left us to pursue other ventures.

*Paolas Monday night 6:30pm AQUA class will still continue with Liz running it temporarily.

Unfortunately Liz can't be here for Boxfit tonight 08/06/2022 and we cant' find a replacement instructor on such short notice.....All the gear will be out and some routines written on the blackboard for those still wishing to participate.. We do apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
