Dear Parents,

We are excited to invite your child to participate in our upcoming Chess Quad Tournament at the Chess Advance Club on Friday, September 20, starting at 6:50 PM. This is a fantastic opportunity for scholastic players to compete and gain valuable experience in a structured and fun environment.

Location: 224 Kings Highway, 2nd floor, Brooklyn NY 11223
Event Details:
Format: 3-round robin (3-RR), G/25 (25 minutes per game with a 5-second delay)

Eligibility: Open to scholastic players rated under 1800 USCF

Entry Fee:
$25 for Chess Advance students with an active membership, $30 for other players

Maximum Capacity: 28 players, so space is limited!

Pairings:
Based on USCF-published ratings

Prizes:
$50 for a perfect 3/3 score
$40 for clear first place (without a perfect score)
$30 for a two-way tie for first place
$20 for a three-way tie for first place
Rounds will begin at 6:50 PM and continue ASAP.

We’re thrilled to announce that our chess team participated in the National Elementary Chess Championship in Ohio, and our students did an amazing job!

A special shout-out to Max Kobichev, who scored an impressive 6 out of 7 in the U700 section, and to Arlan Marat, who earned 5 out of 7 in the U900 section. 💪

We're excited to share the fantastic outcome of our recent tournament, which took place on Saturday, April 6th! 🏆 It was a FREE event open to all students from NYC schools, and we were delighted to welcome a total of 100 enthusiastic participants from various backgrounds and skill levels. 🎉
A massive THANK YOU goes out to MS 890K, and especially to Principal Mr. Frangella, for graciously providing the venue and for their generous contributions of medals and trophies. 🏅 Your support truly made this event possible, and we are deeply grateful for your commitment to fostering a love of learning and competition among our students.
The tournament featured multiple sections, offering a diverse range of challenges and opportunities for our young competitors to showcase their talents and sportsmanship. We were blown away by the passion, dedication, and camaraderie displayed throughout the day!
To all the students who participated, congratulations on your outstanding performance and sportsmanship! 🎉 Your enthusiasm and determination were truly inspiring, and we couldn't be prouder of each and every one of you.

🏆🎉 Congratulations to our Chess Advance students for their outstanding performance at the New York State Chess Championship this past weekend in Saratoga, March 9-10! 🎉🏆

A total of 28 of our students participated in the tournament, showcasing their strategic prowess and dedication to the game. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them!

Special shoutout to Naysa Verma for her incredible achievement of scoring a perfect 6 out of 6 and securing 1st place in the K-5 Under 600 section! 🥇👏

We also want to commend Mukabenov Dordzhi for his stellar performance, scoring 5.5 out of 6 and clinching 3rd place in the K-8 Under 900 section. Well done! 🥉👏

Congratulations are also for Joshua Livsh*tz for his impressive 5 out of 6 points, as well as Daniel Shmerkin, Nikita Vorobiov, and Tomirisi Shamshod for their outstanding performance with 4.5 out of 6 points and placing top scored Under 700 in their respective sections. 🌟👏

Additionally, let's give a round of applause to Amir Kan for being the top scorer among unrated players in the K-1 section with 4 out of 6 points. Well done, Amir! 👏🎉

For some of our students, this tournament marked their first experience, and we commend them for their courage and determination in taking on this challenge!

It was a huge learning experience for all our students, and we extend our gratitude to the organizers, the US Chess Federation, for hosting such a fantastic tournament.
