Due to a wood flu season shock. We’ve had 7 teams unfortunately have to withdraw from our fundraising competition tomorrow.
Rather than persist with half an event, we will give teams a chance to recoup and line up again in the future.
Stay tuned as we will be announcing a new date shortly.

MEET SAM WALKER - My name is Sam and I’m an Accredited Exercise Physiologist. I’m a big AFL and soccer fan, and when I’m not watching sport, I’m usually training for long-distance running or strength work. I actually just ran the Gold Coast Marathon earlier this year.
​Clinically, my main interest is in musculoskeletal conditions. I focus a lot on refining lifting mechanics, keeping runners healthy, and helping people move pain-free.
​I love working with anyone who wants to train with a clear goal, whether that is getting back to lifting without pain, building a solid plan for a running event, or managing a persistent injury that has been holding you back.

Strength is one of the most important elements of fitness. It’s a foundation for performance and also for activities of daily living, particularly as we age.
To maintain and build strength it’s all about effort. Not volume. You don’t have to lift a lot of reps but you do need to lift a lot of weight.
Even just once or twice a week is enough to improve your strength over time.
