💛🖤 IT’S ALMOST MATCH DAY! 🖤💛

Tomorrow our Hotspurs head to Myrtleford for another big round of football, with teams competing across senior and junior grades. We also have our U/12 Girls in action at home and our U/13 Boys Black travelling to St Pats.

We wish all of our players, coaches, managers and supporters the very best for the day. Play hard, enjoy the contest and wear the black and gold with pride! 💛🖤

Our U/12 Girls are still looking for a referee for their home games. If you’re available or know someone who could help, we’d love to hear from you. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

💛🖤 Another Weekend in the Black & Gold 🖤💛

Not every result went our way this weekend, but the effort, determination and club spirit shown across all our teams was something to be proud of.

Unfortunately, we fell short in both cup matches, with our Division 1 Men missing out on the Laramee/Luders Cup and our Division 1 Women narrowly missing the Ianotta/Chapman Cup. Congratulations to Melrose on their wins.

One of the highlights of the weekend was seeing our U/12 Girls on the sidelines cheering on our Senior Women. Watching our junior players supporting those they aspire to be is what our club is all about, and moments like these remind us that football is about so much more than the final score.

A special thank you to everyone who stayed behind to help pack up the main ground at the end of the day. Your time and willingness to lend a hand is very much appreciated and helps make days like these possible.

Thank you to all our players, coaches, volunteers and supporters for another fantastic weekend.

After weeks of excitement, upsets, penalties and plenty of banter... our 2026 World Cup Sweep has come to an end!

He and Thomas have taken out 1st place with Spain, but let's be honest... everyone at the club knows Brian would have traded that sweep win to see Argentina lift the trophy! 🤣🇦🇷

💛🖤 We're Back at Home This Week! 🖤💛

We're back at Aloysius Park this Sunday as we take on Melrose FC in a big day of football, with matches running from 8:00am through to 3:00pm.

A special mention to our Division 1 Men and Division 1 Women, who will be playing for the Luders–Laramee Cup. We'd love to see plenty of black and gold on the sidelines cheering them on!

We're also looking for a few extra volunteers, especially to help run the lines throughout the day. If you're available to lend a hand, we'd really appreciate your support.

A big thank you to our U14 Girls and U16 Girls, who are on duty this weekend. Your help is greatly appreciated.

After weeks of upsets, drama and plenty of surprises, we've finally reached the business end of the tournament!

Before we crown our World Cup Sweep Champion, there's still one more battle to be fought...

🥉 Third Place Playoff – Sunday

🏴 England – Thomas Holliday & Sian van Gastel
🇫🇷 France – Jay Compton & Natalie Pursehouse

Good luck to our third-place contenders as they battle it out for a place on the podium and some well-earned bragging rights! ⚽

Then it's time for the big one...

🏆 THE FINAL – Monday | 5:00am

🇪🇸 Spain – Thomas Holliday & Brian Vanega
🇦🇷 Argentina – Yasmin Linssen & Goog

Only one nation... and one sweep ticket... will be left standing!

And then there's Brian...

He's holding Spain in the sweep, but anyone who knows him knows his heart belongs to Argentina.

So for Brian, it's a genuine win-win... or lose-lose! 😂

If Spain win, his sweep ticket celebrates. If Argentina win, his football heart celebrates. The only thing we're certain of is that Brian will somehow be both happy and disappointed at full-time!

As for Tiff... we're not sure whether she'll be cheering for Spain, Argentina... or just hoping Brian survives the match! 😂🍿
