Last Friday the Vikings Celebrated what was another historic season.
Our 27th Year brought us a return to the pinnacle, the A Grade One Day Premiership. As well as a host of individual achievements for some Vikings youngsters with Bright Futures and some veterans showing their ageless class.
2 standout Vikings across the season were young guns, Sam Smart and Max Payne. Smarty had an enormous season with both bat and ball, as well as contributing greatly in the field, Max dominated with the Bat and showed great leadership all season long as 2’s Skipper.
Sam’s 418 runs and 23 wickets lead him to this season’s top award, the 2025/2026 SDCC Vikings Champion Cricketer.
While his good mate Max had a standout season finishing 2nd in the Champion Cricketer race, but picked up our Phillips/Ranford Most Improved award.
Congrats also to New Comer, Jake Ratcliffe on his standout year with both bat and ball, winning himself the Best First Year Viking.
