The SEU senior team fought a heated and contentious yet critical must-win match vs Ulverstone Soccer Club who also needed points on the board to avoid looming relegation. The game saw 11 yellow cards issued yet several more called for by a vocal crowd stretching the entire sideline.
The game swung either way but the SEU lads kept up unrelenting pressure with pinpoint passing allowing Sam Sartori to use his graceful speed to slot one home at the 59th minute.
Ulverstone were no pushovers in their highly physical and strategic play occasionally getting past staunch defence and giving them several clean shots at goal. Fortunately Felix Kinghorn seemed prescient the entire game, calmy collecting everything that came his way.
SEU did not burn the clock, instead keeping up the pressure playing for a 2nd goal. At the 93rd minute Luke Huigsloot was able to shrug off his typical triple team and brute-force one into the back of the net from just inside the box.
SEU took the 2-0 win and the crucial 3 points.
