For our new families - this is a great opportunity to come along, have some fun and see if little athletics is for you and your little athlete/s 🫶

The Introduction to Teaching Little Athletics Skills (ITLAS) course is a fantastic way to learn the basics of coaching Little Athletics. Perfect for parents, teachers, volunteers and anyone keen to support kids in sport, you'll gain practical skills, fun drills, games and coaching tips to help children develop confidence and enjoy athletics🌟

No matter your experience level, this is a great first step towards making a positive difference in a young athlete's journey! 💙💛

🎉 A New Season, New Faces & A Huge Thank You! 💙💛

With the 2026/2027 season at South East Districts Little Athletics Centre just around the corner, and following our recent AGM, we'd like to take a moment to recognise some incredible people who have played such an important role in making our club the amazing community it is today.

As we turn the page to a new season, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our wonderful Executive and General Committee members who have stepped down from their roles.

👏 Gemma, Jack, Jayne, Reece and Claire – thank you for everything you have contributed to SEDLAC. From behind-the-scenes planning and weekend volunteering to supporting our athletes and families every step of the way, your dedication, passion and countless volunteer hours have helped shape the success of our club. We are so grateful for everything you've done and hope to still see you around the track this season, whether you're lending a hand, cheering from the sidelines or simply dropping by to say hello.

🌟 We'd also like to give a special shout-out to Jacko, Ruby and Phillipa, who are continuing in their committee roles this season. Thank you for your ongoing commitment to our club and community. We appreciate all that you do and are thrilled to have you continuing the journey with us.

🙌 We're also excited to officially welcome Natasha and Caitlin to the Executive Committee! Thank you both for stepping up and helping lead our club into another fantastic season. Many of our returning families will already know Tash and Caitlin from our popular Tiny Tots program last season, so be sure to say hello and make them feel welcome around the track.

💡 As a volunteer-run club, we're always stronger when more people get involved.

Following our AGM, we still have a few committee positions available and would love to welcome some new faces to the team.

✨️2026 AGM - This Friday ✨️
To get us off the starting blocks, we'd love you to join us at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) this Friday 31 July 📝 This is your chance to hear about what's ahead, celebrate what we've achieved together, and help shape the future of our amazing centre ✨️

SEDLAC is so much more than an athletics club – we're a community 🫶 Every week we create a fun, safe and inclusive environment where children can build confidence, make lifelong friendships, challenge themselves and celebrate their personal bests. Watching our young athletes grow, develop and achieve goals they never thought possible is what makes our centre so special 😀

Many of our athletes go on to compete at state, national and even international levels 🙌 but every success story starts right here, supported by a passionate team of volunteers and our families ☺️

As we farewell some of our wonderful committee members, we also have an exciting opportunity to welcome new faces, new ideas and new energy. Whether you can contribute a little or a lot, there's a place for you at SEDLAC 🫶

The truth is, our centre only thrives because of the incredible support of parents, grandparents, family members and friends. Every helping hand makes a difference 💪 The more people who get involved, the lighter the workload, the stronger our community becomes, and the more opportunities we can create for our athletes. 😊

From helping in the canteen, cooking sausages on the BBQ 🌭 coordinating an age group, assisting with equipment, or lending a hand at events 🏆every contribution matters and helps create an amazing experience for our athletes.

Volunteering is also a fantastic way to meet other families, be part of the action, and make a real difference in our community ✨️ If you've ever thought about getting involved, now is the perfect time. We'd love to have a chat about how you can help. 😃
