Classic Fishing Charters Classic Fishing Charters operates fishing charters and sightseeing tours from Yaringa Boat Harbour on Westernport Bay, SE of Melbourne.

We target King George whiting, snapper and gummy shark. Our lunches are yummy roast beef sandwiches cooked on the boat. Welcome aboard 'Spina', built in 1920 in Mordialloc. Skipper Glen Harvie was a former professional shark fisherman based at Corinella on the eastern shores of the bay for several years. Glen has skippered fishing charter boats for 20 years. Lunch or dinner is roast beef cooked on board while you fish.

Had a great weekend of fishing with Lou and the boys from Anglers Club on Saturday, and Alistair and the boys from Leongatha Anglers Club on Sunday. Both days had great fishing with exceptional sized whiting. On both days we had over 20 whiting of more than 40 cm. Thanks guys, look forward to seeing you soon.

Headed out this morning with Ross from Leongatha and his family and friends. The whiting numbers were a bit down today, but the quality was certainly up - they caught 16 whiting over 40 cm, pinkie snapper to 40 cm and plenty of cowanyoung and blue mackerel. Young Brodie stole the day with a winning 44 cm whiting.

Everyone caught fish on today's charter, we got over 30 pinkie snapper, as well as trevally, blue mackerel, tailor, flathead and a really nice rock flathead to name a few. It was a lovely day on Westernport with a great group of guys, and the roast beef sandwiches went down very well. The fish often go quiet in early January, but they're certainly back on now. Spina is finally on the slips getting ready for the season. She will be back in the water by the 10th of December. Classic Fishing Charters will be operating half day and full day charters out of Yaringa Marina in Somerville because the Warneet Jetty is still closed. Looking forward to a successful fishing season.
