For the past couple of seasons we have had a special guest staying with us here at Baxter Downs Sporthorses.
Rocky Springs Clydie n Cobs have entrusted us with their beautiful homozygous silver Clydesdale Cross stallion
Rocky Springs Silver Arrow

It has been an absolute pleasure having him here and we have thoroughly enjoyed working with him.
We have been so impressed with his temperament. He is such a kind, sociable and friendly character who loves hanging out with his humans and enjoying a good scratch π₯°
During his stay we have started him under saddle and he has proven to be exceptionally intellegent, kind and trainable.
Always wanting to please his handler and such a quick learner, he has all the attributes to produce talented, trainable, versatile offspring.
Recently we took him to his very first outing at a local show. As you could imagine, taking an adult stallion who has rarely been off property to his first show at the beginning of the breeding season was asking a lot of him especially walking past all those pretty mares and not being allowed to stop and say hello π but he behaved exceptionally well for a first outing and even came home with some blue ribbons and a championship sash, so not a bad effort for a first outing π
We were very excited to introduce our first foal by Arrow two weeks ago and we have since welcomed two more gorgeous foals who we will introduce very soon!
We are excitedly waiting to meet the last of Arrows foals for the season out of our Hanoverian WB mare Silverdene Party Girl.
Here are a few photos of Arrow at his first ever outing at Tonimbuk. Thank you Stuart Downs for doing such a great job handing him so well around so many horses for the first time and Trevyne Vanessa May for riding him on the day.
We will be sad to say goodbye but excited to watch his new adventures under saddle when he returns home to Rocky Springs Clydie n Cobs.
We have been fortunate enough to be able to breed two mares to him this season before he leaves and look forward to meeting their foals next season π
