Somers Tennis Club is seeking the services of a cleaner for our clubhouse - approx 1 hour of work, once a fortnight. Includes:

* 2 x bathrooms
* Kitchen and tables
* Dusting as required
* Vacuum and mop floors
* Empty bins (if not already emptied)

Extra hours from time-to-time to clean glass balustrade and windows. Flexible hours - preferably weekday mornings or Sundays to avoid clashes with competition, coaching and clubhouse bookings. Commencing early October.

Our favourite part of the day is right here, saying good morning to familiar faces and new ones too. Coffee's brewing, the kitchen's ready, and the day is just getting started. Open daily from 8am in Somers ⚓️🧡

RESERVE PLAYERS NEEDED - Monday Night Mixed Competition

Somers Tennis Club is seeking male and female players who would be interested in filling in, from time-to-time, in our C Grade Mixed night tennis team. The 2026 Spring season starts on 27th July and runs through to late November/early December with no play during school holidays or on long weekends.

Matches are played on Monday nights at venues across the Westernport area, including Somers, Balnarring, Somerville, Tyabb, Crib Point and Hastings. Play commences at 7pm and generally concludes around 9pm.

What a fantastic night of tennis for our A Grade Mixed team, the Somers Strikers, and our B Grade Mixed team, the Mid-Somers Murderers, who contested their 2026 Autumn Season Grand Finals last night.

The Strikers put in a tremendous effort but were narrowly defeated by Tyabb Double Trouble in a thrilling match, with the result coming down to just one game after the teams finished level on three sets each.

The Murds delivered a dominant performance, defeating Balnarring Beaches 5 sets to 1 and 37–24 on games to claim the premiership.

Congratulations to all of our mixed teams on a fantastic season, and good luck to the Somers Sea Dogs who play Hastings Huckleberries in tonight’s Open grand final (weather permitting) 🎾👏

Congratulations to our Thursday Mid-Week Ladies Section 2 team for their grand final win today 🏆 Despite several injuries and absences, the team has had a fantastic season sitting at #1 on the ladder throughout the season. Today’s win was the icing on the cake! Well done Trudi, Tanya, Belinda, Julieanne, Helen, Maryann and Louise 👏👏
