Ballarat District 4WD Club Inc. The Ballarat District 4WD Club was formed in 1977 and is affiliated with Four Wheel Drive Victoria. All types of vehicles are welcome.

We are family oriented, and have a proven record of responsible four wheel driving and community service.

In late July the club did a snow trip, basing out of Jamieson to Mt Skene for some snow driving, then Mt Terrible the following day.
Good fun was had by all !

Note that access to Mt Skene during the snow season requires a permit which 4x4 clubs can obtain thanks to the efforts of 4x4 Victoria after the road was closed due to safety concerns after a number of vehicles required rescue due to deep snow conditions.

On the Kings Birthday weekend, the Geelong 4x4 club holds the Moonambel Muster in and around Moonambel. As it is not too far from Ballarat many of our members get involved.

Thank you to everyone who attended our ‘Come Try 4WD’ing Day’ yesterday.
It was great to see so many people there and the genuine smiles in people’s faces after driving around the track.

Visit our track at Smythesdale (turn right just past the service station, from Ballarat).
