Pictured here are Geoff and Peta Howard (Clarkson)who purchased the business from Cob Clarkson in 1984 .By this stage Cob had moved into retail to some extent as demand for saddlery slowed,From this point Geoff and Peta diversified the store into full retail and Cob moved his machines to his house and operated his repair services from havelock st Smithton.

Pictured here are “Cob” and Flora Clarkson. Cob,son of saddler Merv Clarkson ,began his apprenticeship under Merv at Clarksons in 1936.Cob and Flora eventually purchased the business before selling to Geoff and Peta Howard(Clarkson)in 1984,subsequently selling to myself in 2005 .

Only 1 Week to Go!

The countdown is on until we officially take over as Adventure Sports Hub!

To allow us to complete renovations and make some exciting changes, the store will be closing from 30th June. If you need any sporting equipment, footwear, or accessories, make sure you pop in and see Luke, thank him for his last 35 years of service to the community and grab what you need before then.

We’ll be sharing updates throughout the renovation process so you can follow along with the transformation.

Our goal is to reopen on 20th July, with a fresh new look and an exciting range of products for all your sporting and outdoor adventure needs!
