Team George training session are FREE, FUN and INCLUSIVE. they run every Wednesday from 5.30 pm to 8.30. It’s training with a different focus.

And spartathlon 2024 is a go…. Good luck to all participants especially our very own John Yoon.

This race 6 years was one of my greatest accomplishments to date and am definitely not finished yet. It will take a while to get back to that start line but I assure you it’s worth it.

Absolute cracker of a weekend. The weather couldn’t have been better for the double banger of events. Kicked off with vollie duties at Berry Long Run once again holding down party aid station (Blackwood) with Kirsten Maplestone and Josh. Then off to the St Kilda scramble 6 hour rogaine where the Rogainicorns (Mark, Kirk and Emma ) tore up the course to finish 17 out of 140 teams. Beers, Trams, Donuts, Ice creams and plenty of laughs along the way.

My first double banger running weekend for a long time.

Dandy parkrun(one of my favs). Ran 22.45 which is fastest time for over a year. Decided to take off a shoe rather than run the last 500 metres with a shoe lace undone.

The trail series by Rapid Ascent, at Smiths Gully today. Donning my fav pink vollie vest and helping where ever needed.

Let’s see where I end up next weekend.

Well having been back in Victoria for 8 weeks now I think I’m finally settled in. Been on a few adventures and plenty more planned for the rest of the year. Moving to WA was definitely an experience and I’ve come away much wiser and definitely grateful for my time over there. I gave it my all, kept pushing through challenges and made some new lifelong friends.

Time to turn the focus back on getting Team George sessions back up and running.

I still love parkrun as much as that first time back at Albert Park in 2011.

Newcastle Park parkrun Is a great course, has a great community and is turning 1 in a fortnight. Woo hoo party time 🥳 🏃🏼

Welcome to 2024 peeps! I hope you all had a safe and happy festive season spending it with love ones and eating everything imaginable. Whether it was good or challenging as it was for myself I’d like to remind everyone that at some point, the SEASON shall change and pass. Better things are always just around the corner if you just stick to making progress each day and every week. The heat of summer doesn’t last, the rains and chilling temperatures of winter are the same.

Find your tribe, lean on your community and together we will get through these seasons and make 2024 amazing!

Another week and another top runner visits me Newcastle Park parkrun. Thanks Jessica Smithand Jarod Jaryd Papa for the visit and let me pace you to the end of the bridge. Getting faster week after week.

The roller coaster ride of my adventure here in Western Australia keeps on rolling. After my employment and housing circumstances changed a few weeks ago I honestly was ready to get in the car and drive back across the Nullarbor.

Instead I did what I you should always do and that is not rush into any decision. I slept on it, I thought about it then I started to surround myself with people and locations that would bring me joy. Even if it was short lived joy. In that time I have gone back to actually training and regular running group participation and even helped deliver two events with Rapid Ascent and WildOnesAdventures.

The future here on the west coast suddenly looks a lot brighter. 🌞

Records were made to be broken. The king Kouros has had his time beaten by 30 minutes. Sub 20 hours for 246 km is amazing. I’ve always wanted to get back there to run again as my 2018 Spartathlon finish is one of my most cherished. Well it’s time to get back on the road to Sparta.
