Jaks Lures manufacture a small range of resin head, skirted trolling lures for targeting Southern Bluefin Tuna, billfish and other pelagics. In the 18 months Jaks Lures have been in production several notable captures have been recorded, a number of barrels (Large Southern Bluefin Tuna) over 100kgs were hooked using the Jaks "Barrel Bullets" with one boated, weighing in at 103kgs and another weig

hing 116.7kg landed in 2011. Species including Marlin, Southern Bluefin Tuna, yellowfin tuna, dolphin fish, wahoo and sailfish are amoung the list of species that have fallen to these lures in a short period, I am sure as they grow in popularity more will be added to that list.

I have been working on this little (cough cough) gem for a couple of months getting it roadworthy but fingers crossed as of next week this will be the new Jaks tow pig. It’s an 86 Silverado 3500 hiding a Cummins 5.9ltr heart.
