4 tips to make better progress with your muscle building journey🏋🏽‍♀️

If you want solid results from your gym training, you need to start paying attention to the things that actually drive progress.

These 4 tips might seem simple, but they’re the difference between staying the same and giving your body a reason to adapt.

You need to consistently execute the fundamentals, review your progress, and make adjustments when needed.

Master the basics, stay patient, and let time do its thing. 🏋🏽‍♀️

Hiyaaaa it has been a HOT minute since I’ve done a comp life update 🫡

Keeping it real always- not gonna come on here and pretend that life post comp has been super easy all the time because it hasn’t. So many ups, and a few downs.

Took some time away from sharing the journey so I could process and navigate it myself first.

I prepared myself well & had the best support systems around me, but you never truly know how something is going to affect you until you actually go through it yourself.

Body confidence, relationships with food, food noise… all things so many women struggle with.

And honestly, I think that’s why I wanted to talk about it.

Because no matter who you are, struggling doesn’t make you weak.

But if we all quit the second things got hard, no one would ever achieve anything.

From one food loving Italian girl to another- where there’s a will, there’s a way 🫶🏽

You gotta ride the waves, focus on the positives, and keep pushing on.

Bring on more growth 🫶🏽🌱

The importance of intra workout ⬇️

You might know the importance of protein after training.
And pre workout / pre workout carbohydrates.

But what are you doing DURING your session?

If your goal is muscle building ➡️I would highly recommend wrapping your head around intra workout.

When you train with intensity, you’re fatiguing set by set.

That’s where the supplements come in;
➡️ Carbohydrates for a continued energy source
➡️ Amino acids for a continued recovery
➡️ Bonus- can be the time you add in creatine too

➡️ Intra carbs provide energy to sustain output
➡️ EAAs support recovery mid session
➡️ Creatine supports strength across sets

If you’re in a deficit you might want to skip the carbs to save the cals, but for everyone else in a building phase- run straight to .cairns and grab yourself;

You think coaches had perfectly polished journeys to get where we are now? Think again.

I joined the gym at 17 with zero clue what I was doing. Still growing. Still figuring myself out. No real understanding of nutrition or why my body kept changing.

I made every mistake you can imagine – guessing, random workouts, chasing quick fixes, obsessing over belly fat, getting frustrated, starting and stopping.

If I could go back, I’d tell her to get guidance sooner. To ask for help. To work with a coach. To actually learn nutrition instead of guessing. To understand why her body changes instead of fighting it.

Most importantly, I’d tell her to keep showing up – no matter what. Because a start is still a start. And starting is what changes everything.

I’m huge on meal prep- and there’s a reason for it.

Food prep is a vital part of preparing for success.
But there’s more than one way to do it.

The goal isn’t perfection- it’s having a system that makes consistency easier.

Mindful and intuitive eating is without a doubt a real thing.
But without the foundational work, it often turns into guessing and hoping for the best.

You wouldn’t cook a new meal without understanding the recipe or having some experience first.

The same applies to tracking, meal prep, and mindful or intuitive eating.
They’re all tools- and they all require understanding to be used effectively.

So do the work, plan and prepare in advance.
