📣 - Singleton Representative Carnival Wrap Up
What an incredible day of netball!
On behalf of Singleton Netball Association, we would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped make our carnival such a success. To our amazing volunteers/committee members, thank you for the countless hours spent planning, organising, setting up/packing away and running the day. Your dedication behind the scenes is what makes events like this possible.
Thank you to all the coaches, managers, umpires, players and parents for your commitment, encouragement, professionalism and sportsmanship on the day. And finally thank you to all associations who travelled to join us. We appreciate your support of our carnival! The success of our carnival is a reflection of the wonderful netball community we are fortunate to be part of. We look forward to welcoming you all back again in the future.
See below for our Core Mine Pty Ltd wrap up from the day:
🤍 11s Development Reds
U11 reds team had a great home carnival playing 6 games against some tough opposition coming away with our first 2 wins of the year! Very exciting for all of us! The girls played so well it was so great to see the ball movement down the court ,the shooting movement and combinations and defensive rebounding we have been working on at training. They always went on the court with a smile giving 100% every game. So proud of how far the girls have come. Thanks to all the parents who helped with duties over the weekend and Stacie for managing our team.
🖤 11s Development Blacks
What a great day at the Singleton Rep Carnival for our U11s Black Team on Sunday. The girls had a fantastic day and showed incredible effort, determination, and teamwork in every game they played. Their hard work paid off with two well-deserved wins, which were also their first two victories of the season. It was so rewarding to see them put into practice the skills and strategies we’ve been working on at training, and their improvement was evident throughout the day. What stood out most was the way they supported one another, stayed positive, and never stopped giving their best effort. Their energy and commitment on the court were outstanding, and they should all be extremely proud of what they achieved. I know I certainly am. Seeing them earn those first two wins of the season was a great reward for all of their hard work, and it’s exciting to see how much they are developing as a team. If they continue to bring the same attitude, effort, and determination each week, there will be plenty more success to come. Also a very special thank you to Renae my amazing assistant coach, and to Sharon Power for stepping into the manager role for the day, thank you both.
❤️U12 -
The Valley Blockout Blinds U12s were excited to take to the court at our home carnival on Sunday. We were also thrilled to have our biggest cheerleader Eva on the sidelines. While she couldn't join us on court, she certainly played her part with plenty of encouragement! The team showed great growth across the carnival. We had a strong start, and after losing our way a little in the middle part of the day, the team finished strongly and put into practice many of the things we've been working hard on at training, which was wonderful to see. We know the areas we need to keep building, and with 1 carnival and 4 training weeks remaining before State Titles, the team is motivated to keep working hard and improving. We finished the day with 2 wins, 1 draw and many close losses, but most importantly, we saw development as a team. The team should be proud of the sportsmanship, positivity and determination they displayed all day. A huge thank you to our umpire, Chloe, who umpired every game consistently and fairly throughout the day. Thank you to our parents and supporters for your encouragement and support of the team. Thank you also to the association and all involved in organising the carnival. The work involved leading up to and on the day is appreciated. Thank you!
🤍12/13s Development -
What a day for our Singleton Netball Association 12’s/13’s Development Team! The girls went out and played some really good netball across the carnival, starting the day strongly with a great opening win. It was fantastic to see our attacking structures and the hard work we’ve been putting into our transitions starting to pay off on court. The team moved the ball with confidence, worked hard for each other and showed some excellent passages of play throughout the day. As the carnival went on, we came up against some very strong opposition and hit a challenging middle section of the day. After dropping a couple of games, the group could have easily let their heads drop, but instead they reset, regrouped and set themselves a new goal. To finish the day strong. And that’s exactly what they did. The intensity lifted, the girls locked in defensively and backed themselves right across the court to finish the carnival with two strong wins to close out the day. The resilience, teamwork and willingness to keep fighting for each other was something to be proud of. A massive thank you to our players, families and supporters who continue to back this team every carnival. A thank you also go out to Jaz our umpire for the day, we loved having your energy in the tent and your skills on the court.
Plenty of lessons, plenty of growth and plenty to build on as we continue through the representative season.
🖤U13s -
The Singleton Global Lift 13’s had a wonderful home carnival. Playing 7 games winning 6 and 1 draw. Our shooters shot well. The 3 have a great combination going. The mid court came forward and brought the ball through the court so much better. The defence played hard all day, the 3 made it so hard for the opposition. At the first carnival this year a team beat us 9-8 we beat them Sunday 22-9. Wonderful improvement. Ali Bree and I are soo impressed with your performance. Well done girls. Thank you to Emily for umpiring to Bree, Ali and parents. A great day.
❤️U14s -
The Oldknow earthmoving and haulage U14 team started strong at our own Singleton carnival last Sunday. The team seemed really pumped and positive for a good day as their extra training has intensified. We started out strong with great court space, court awareness and good drives. These are all components that we have been working hard on at training and I can definitely see the improvement. Whilst we didn’t come away with many wins, the aim of carnivals is all about improvement. I am seeing this at times across the court in all areas. Our defence was strong, mid court displayed stronger drives off the centre pass and our shooting averages have increased. During the course of the day, our enthusiasm dimmed as fatigue set in. These are all things that we can still work on at training as we have our last carnival in two weeks at Kurri Kurri. Keep your heads up girls, it’s all about our road to JST, we need to remember to continue to work hard at training and work together as a team. Have the mindset to play our game at all times. People around you have the confidence in your ability so it’s now time to let it shine. A big thank you to our Manager, our umpire Jasmine and once again all our parents and supporter for your help, it’s very much appreciated. One month to go.
🏐 Team White
At our Home Carnival on Sunday, Team White was proudly represented by Jasmine T, Emily T, Jasmine H, Chloe G, Hailey C and Eloise A.
A huge thank you goes to each of these umpires for their commitment, professionalism and the fantastic job they did throughout the day. They represented our association exceptionally well, demonstrating confidence, consistency and a willingness to take on every game they were allocated. As we all know, without umpires our games simply cannot go ahead, and the contribution they make to the success of every carnival is invaluable. Their dedication often goes unnoticed, but their efforts are essential in ensuring players have the opportunity to take the court and enjoy the game. I would like to make special mention of Eloise, who stepped in at the last minute after another member of Team White unfortunately had to withdraw due to injury. Eloise's willingness to help out at short notice ensured that all umpiring commitments were covered and reflects the team-first attitude that is so important within our umpiring group.
Thank you again to Jasmine, Emily, Jasmine, Chloe, Hailey and Eloise for giving up their time and representing Team White with pride. Your efforts were greatly appreciated by players, coaches, officials and organisers alike, and you should all be very proud of the role you played in making the carnival such a success.
