Community Bank Mission Beach celebrated 18 years serving the community and supporting community organizations. Two of our long standing members Len Charman (Vice - President) & Bryan Meyer attended the celebrations which coincided with Volunteers Week. Members of 10 or more years were awarded Appreciation Certificates. Silkwood Bowls Club was recipients of a $200 donation. Greatly Appreciate the support from Community Bank Mission Beach.

More and more people are realising what a popular and easily accessible sport Lawn Bowls is. Getting started is easy at Silkwood Bowls Club. We offer free coaching!

Silkwood is holding a “Come and Try” Introduction to Bowls Day on Sunday 28th June from 10am to 12noon, followed by sausage sizzle for participants. Coaches will be available to help you. If you are interested please call the club on 0475759808 to reserve a spot.
Individual coaching can also be arranged by calling the club.

Need some coaching to get you started playing bowls? Silkwood Bowls Club is only too happy to help. We have Denise and Lee-Ann, two highly qualified coaches, as well as a band of enthusiastic members.
We are very proud of our two coaches who recently participated in the District squad that played at the Gold Coast. Denise also went on to play in the State competition.
For a small club, we are “rolling” in talent!

We held our first night bowls for quite a while last Friday night. Everyone enjoyed the sausage sizzle (thanks chef Bryan) & then some very competitive bowls. Denise & Lee-Ann coached the children & adults who needed it. Who would have thought that new bowlers could be that good!
Last Sunday we played against Marlin Coast in a semi final for 8-a-side. We all tried hard but were beaten. Silkwood bowls club; the small club punching above its weight 🤩.

Congratulations to Lee-Ann from our club who has just won the finals of the District Ladies Singles. Lee-Ann won three games on Saturday at Atherton and then returned today to win her semi-final and then defeated Terry from Marlin Coast. Well done!

Great things happen at Silkwood Bowls Club. On Friday the 24th we are holding a sausage sizzle & Night Bowls starting at 5.30pm followed by bowls.
Coaching & games for the children will be provided. Entertainment for the whole family & it is only $10 per adult. At Silkwood Bowls Cub we know how to have fun & enjoy lawn bowls.

Sausage sizzle & night bowls at Silkwood Bowls Club on Friday 24th April. Great fun & entertainment for only $10 each player, starting at 5.30pm for food & 6.30pm for bowls.
