Congratulations Luke Smith on a fantastic 100 senior games with the Bears.

A highly influential midfielder/forward who won the 2016 GVL Rising Star award, quickly establishing himself as a vital barometer for the team with his exceptional leg speed and goal-kicking ability.

After playing an important role in the Bears' 2018 senior premiership triumph, he spent time in the VFL with Geelong before making a return to the Bears.

He has cemented his reputation as one of the premier country football players in the region.

In round eight Shepparton and Echuca joined the whole league to “Say No to Violence”.
The round has raised awareness of and spread prevent family violence messages in our communities for 15 years.
Violence is not acceptable in any way shape or form and as sporting clubs we must lead the way for our young members and players, and our wider communities.
As a community, league and clubs we have come together to say enough is enough and no to violence, in any way shape or form.
We must lead by example and pave the way for a brighter, happier, and safer future for all.

Karen Johnson Memorial Trophy

Shepparton and Echuca Football Netball Clubs played for the Karen Johnson Memorial Trophy yesterday.

We remember Karen, as a player and friend to both respected clubs – as the A Grade match is played in Karen’s honour.

It was a pleasure to welcome Karen’s family - daughter Lily Moffatt, Karen’s mother Marie and sisters Jo and Elizabeth to the game.

Congratulations to Echuca for taking out the win this year!
