After many years of planning and fundraising we are excited to be connecting water to the old church building.

Thanks to the hard work of our committee members and the support of Dunstone Bros Plumbing & Roofing, last week we laid the pipes, ready to connect.

Another great addition to make our old church building a great place for our community to use.

Our local CFA is celebrating 75 years with a Community Fair at the Lockwood South Community Hall.

A fun family day out, with a market, kid's activities, CFA Displays, food & drink and much more. Be sure to go along and support our local CFA

What a great night last Saturday for our Camp Cook Out.

The coals were hot, the locals were friendly, and the food was delicious. Always a great feeling seeing our community come together and connect.

We followed the cook up with a movie in the hall. An interesting movie (and our faceless Facebook narrator is still not sure what happened.... but enjoyed it all the same).

We would like to give a big shout out and THANKS to Kangaroo Flat Bunnings Warehouse Australia, who have kindly donated the reserve a new vacuum to help keep the hall clean.

It is the support of businesses that enables us to continue to restore and maintain the reserve to be able to make it the great community space that it is.

🔋🔋Thank you to everyone who has been delivering cans and bottles to our drop off point to donate towards the Reserve. So far this financial year we have raised over $600 towards the reserve from donated bottles and cans. 🔋🔋

If you would like to help by donating your 10c bottles and cans, there are two ways to do it;

1. Take your Cans and Bottles to Visy collection point and choose 'East Shelbourne Recreation Reserve' as your donation partner in the CDS Vic North Visy App or,

2. drop your bagged bottles and cans off at 72 McKinnons Road, Lockwood and one of our committee members will take them to the donation point (please note this is a private residence, so we do ask that you ensure your donation is bagged and placed at the front of the house).

Every small donation can make a big difference!

This morning our Secretary, Chris Johnson, and her trusty donkey Arkemedes, marched in the Kangaroo Flat RSL Sub-Branch ANZAC March, followed by a moving Commemorative Service.

Chris also had the honor of laying a wreath during the service on behalf of the Bendigo District Donkey Mule Club.

We would like to express our gratitude and THANKS to Champions IGA Kangaroo Flat and Woolworths Lansell Plaza who recently donated goods in support of our Movie Night BBQ.

East Shelbourne Recreation Reserve is a volunteer run 'Committee of Management' who rely on the support of the community and local businesses to be able to help preserve and restore the public space. Without this support we are unable to hold the community events we do to bring together our local Shelbourne community.
