26 years. ⏳
This time, 26 years ago in May/June 2000, I was preparing for my final exams at the British Columbia College of Equine Massage Therapy (now called the Natural Touch Therapy Institute) in Canada.
I'm feeling quite grateful, and nostalgic too!
My equine journey since then has been filled with amazing horses, terrific people, and many adventures. Epic experiences managing/guiding and packing in the Canadian Rockies. Groom, barn manager and massaging beautiful equine athletes at a dressage training centre.
I moved to Tassie in 2005, where I found endless trail riding, wonderful people, gave endurance a crack, reining lessons, obstacles took me to compete at Equitana, and we won a buckle at the NSW NCCA State Championship in 2024.
I enjoy continuing education development opportunities and have met many mentors here in Tassie, great riding clubs are abundant too. How lucky that there are horses everywhere to be massaged! 🤗
And now, I'm really enjoying my additional skills. SADDLEFITTING! This has taken me to Canberra , Adelaide, Melbourne, Italy and England for training. There is always more to learn, a different puzzle to solve, and new ideas and innovation that is constantly evolving.
Thank you for supporting me throughout these years. I'm looking forward to continuing to meet new people and horses, and to be part of your journey throughout your equine partnership. 💙
Happy trails! 🏇
