Port Sorell Golf Club Port Sorell Golf Club is located approximately 20 minutes drive from the city of Devonport on the northern central coast of Tasmania.

Our nine hole course provides a challenge for high and low handicap golfers. Visitors are most welcome to play socially or to participate in club competition events.

Congratulations to our Division 5 side, who won their final against Burnie at Ulverstone today 6.5-0.5. This is the clubs first pennant flag since 2017.

Our Division 6 side were valiant, but went down 5-2 vs Penguin at Wynyard.

This is a fantastic result for our club, having 2 finalists, with one of them going the whole way. Thanks to all the players in both division for a great year.

Shout out to Archer Von Schill, who won his match and helped Thirlstane take home the division 2 pennant final.

Last but not least, thanks to our Captain Stu Dickson who has driven the entire pennant season and made it all possible. Before last year, we hadn’t fielded teams in a number of years, and this result speaks to his hard work and dedication. He also makes a mean pre game speech, division 5 were ready to run through walls for him today.

Good luck to our men’s pennant teams, who both play in a final this Sunday 12th July.

Division 5 play Burnie at Ulverstone, 9:45.

Division 6 play Penguin at Wynyard, 9:45.

Our young gun Archer Von Schill is also playing in the division 2 final for Thirlstane at Devonport. Go get ‘em Arch!

If anyone would like to come and support on the day, they would be most welcome.

MENS PENNANT RESULTS SUNDAY 5TH JULY

Division 5
We played Wynyard at home and went down in an extremely tight match 4-3. John Braslin, John Allanby and Dwayne Buckingham all had wins.
Having already secured our place in the final, we look forward to taking on Burnie next week for season honours.

Division 6
There was a finals spot potentially on the line today in our matchup with West Coast at home. We came away with a win 5-2, and have secured our place in the final next week vs Penguin by the barest of margins. A season long countback of matches won got us in by a single match over Ulverstone.
Ricky Smith, Jeremy Kode, Phil Cobb, Roger Scott and Nick Holland all delivered crucial wins.
Special mention must go to Ricky Smith, who has gone through all 6 weeks of the season without a loss.

Exciting times ahead next week, with 2 teams having a crack at taking a Pennant flag

MENS PENNANT RESULTS SUNDAY 28TH JUNE

Division 5 - The starts aligned today for our Div 5 team, who secured a 7-0 win vs Thirlstane at Thirlstane. Special mention to Glen Ellis, who took his match to the 23rd hole to win 1 up. This puts us in a strong position for finals.

Division 6 - It was a valiant effort, but we went down 4-3 at Penguin. Sets up an important match at home next week vs West Coast with finals around the corner.
