PICKLE BALL is here on Thursdays!!!

Pickleball is a fast-growing, fun and social sport that’s easy to learn and suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

Played on a smaller court with simple rules, it’s perfect for beginners and experienced players alike.

Pickleball has a famously friendly culture — open play, mixed skill levels, and a lot of “nice shot!” even when someone just beat you.

Come and give it a go at Cornubia Park Sports Centre and see why everyone is getting hooked.

LOGAN CITY COUNCIL – ACTIVE & HEALTHY 2026 – BEGINNER BASKETBALL SESSIONS

2026 will continue to be a year of commitment to the Logan City Council – Active & Healthy here at Cornubia Park Sports Centre.
Our Beginner Basketball Skills sessions have been a huge hit and will continue in 2026.
Ball handling, finishing & shooting skills will be the focus of sessions

Conducted here at the centre on Thursdays @ 3:30pm throughout the school term, this program is facilitated by Logan Basketball, specifically designed to cultivate coordination and motor skills in young children to perform the basic individual skills essential to playing basketball in a supportive environment.

With a strong emphasis on fun and active participation, this program aims to lay the foundation for physical literacy and foster a lifelong enjoyment of the game.

Our Thunder Tots Program for 2-4 yo participants has been a huge hit and will continue in 2026.
Movement and Motor Skills Development

Conducted here at the centre on Tuesdays @ 9:40am throughout the school term, Thunder Tots is a program facilitated by Logan Basketball, specifically designed to cultivate movement and motor skills in young children. Through a series of engaging activities and structured play sessions, Thunder Tots encourages children aged 2 to 4 years old to explore various movements and develop essential motor skills in a supportive environment.
Focus on Fun and Physical Literacy

With a strong emphasis on fun and active participation, this programme aims to lay the foundation for physical literacy and foster a lifelong enjoyment of physical activity among toddlers and pre-schoolers.

FRIDAYS are always buzzing here at Cornubia Park Sports Centre as we host BEST Disability Support both on and off the court.

It is amazing to help facilitate the BEST team as they deliver on both their basketball program as well as giving their hospitality program students real experiences in our café and kitchen.

It’s fantastic to see participants building skills, confidence, and community connections—whether it’s on the court or behind the counter. Our team loves having them here, and we’re excited to support an inclusive, fun, and empowering environment for everyone.

A big thank you to BEST Disability Support for partnering with us, and to all the participants bringing such great energy each week. 💙🏀☕

Congratulations to the Logan Thunder U16 boys for their incredible Win over Goldcoast, 112-94! We couldn't be prouder of the coaching team and the boys, who were absolutely unreal throughout the State Championships!

This week at Cornubia Park Sports Centre - CPSC we are hosting the Basketball Queensland 2025 U16 Boys State Champs.

Starting Sunday April 6 and finishing Wednesday April 9, the competition brings together the very best across the state to find out the true champion association for 2025.

Reigning Champions Logan Thunder will be looking to go back to back and win another gold medal in front of an amazing home crowd.

Good luck to all teams over the 4 days.
