🏏 EVER WONDERED HOW TO SCORE OR UMPIRE A CRICKET GAME?

Or perhaps you’d like to help out in the canteen but aren't quite sure how everything works?

During next week's Junior training times - Tuesday from 5.30pm & Wednesday from 5pm, we’re giving Suns parents the chance to learn! 💙💛

We’ll have practical training covering scoring, umpiring and canteen duties, with laptops and equipment available so you can have a go and see exactly what’s involved.

🙌 No experience needed
📱 Learn how to score
🏏 Get comfortable with the basics of umpiring
🌭 Find out how the canteen operates
🤝 Help us spread game-day jobs across more families

You don't need to become an expert or commit every week. The more people who know how to help, the easier it is for everyone.

And if you'd like to get more involved on the cricket side, we're also looking for parents interested in assisting with coaching. Complete the online Coaching 360 program to get started, and we'll organise a Level 1 coaching night once we have numbers.

Our Summer Launch & Winter Awards are almost here - and we’ve got even more happening on the day!

We’re excited to have former Queensland Bulls and West Indies international cricketer Brendan Nash joining us on Saturday! 🏏👏

🏏 One field. Three programs. One amazing club. ☀️💙💛

Photos don’t quite do it justice, but this week we had our U10s, Cricket Blast and Open Juniors all training on the field at the same time.

Seeing players of all ages learning, laughing and enjoying cricket together is what the Springwood Suns are all about. From kids picking up a bat for the very first time to our Opens preparing for the season ahead, it was a fantastic sight.

The future of the Suns is looking bright! 💙💛

Our Summer Launch & Winter Awards are getting closer, and we’ve got plenty planned for the whole family!

🎉 Fun starts from 2:30pm
🏆 Winter Awards from 5:00pm

Come down and enjoy the jumping castle, inflatable batting lane, Smash games and a special appearance from Heater — the Brisbane Heat mascot! 🔥

There’ll also be a sausage sizzle, limited canteen menu, bar open and a meat tray raffle — plus all Winter junior players get a FREE sausage (or vegetarian equivalent). 🌭

A strong team performance from the Springwood Suns BMC saw them come away with an 8-wicket win over Wolston Park.

Contributions came across the field, with wickets, catches, a run out and some solid batting helping the Suns get the job done. 👏

What a fantastic winter season for the Suns! A huge congratulations to all our players on their efforts, improvement and achievements throughout the season. 👏🏏

A massive thank you to our coaches, managers, volunteers and parents for everything you do to support our players and make junior and senior cricket happen. And of course, thank you to all our players for bringing the energy, enthusiasm and love of the game each week! ☀️
