Great to have Rikkie-Lee Tyrrell - Northern Victoria Region MLC out at the Seymour Cricket Club! 🏏

It was fantastic to show Rikkie-Lee around the club and talk about our plans for the future, including much-needed upgrades to our practice nets and facilities, as well as creating dedicated changerooms for our growing women’s cricket program.

Seymour Cricket Club has been part of our community since 1859, and while we’re incredibly proud of our history, we’re also focused on building a facility that can support the next generation of players.

A big thank you to Rikkie-Lee for taking the time to come out, listen and see firsthand what our club needs.

What a great turnout at training today! 🙌
Awesome to see plenty of familiar faces, some new faces and plenty of energy around the club. Plenty of laughs, plenty of cricket and, most importantly, plenty of people enjoying being back out there together.

The numbers are looking great and there’s a real buzz around the club already. 💪🔥

🏏 JUNIOR COME & TRY DAY – SUNDAY, SEPT 20TH! 🏏

Is your child ready to pick up a bat and join the Maroons? We’re hosting our Junior Registration & Come and Try Day at Chittick Park on Sunday, September 20th, and we want to see you there!

Whether they’re just starting out in Woolworths Blast or looking to take their game to the next level in our Under 16s, this is the perfect chance to have some fun, meet our coaches, and experience the Maroons spirit firsthand.

The Seymour Cricket Club has endorsed and adopted Australian Cricket’s Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People Policy, Cricket Integrity Policies, and Cricket Victoria’s Member Protection Policy for the 2026-2027 season.

🏏 PRE-SEASON TRAINING KICKS OFF THIS SUNDAY! 🏏

The off-season is nearly done and dusted, Maroons! It’s time to shake off the cobwebs, dust off the kit, and get ready for a massive 2026/27 campaign.
Pre-season training officially starts this Sunday at Chittick Park.

Whether you’re returning for another year in the Maroons cap or looking to pull it on for the first time across our senior or junior grades, everyone is welcome. Let’s get numbers on the track early and build some serious momentum.

🏏 PLAYERS MEETING — FRIDAY 21ST AUGUST 🏏

Calling all Maroons!

We're holding a players meeting at the rooms on Friday 21st August at 7:00 PM and we want as many players and families there as possible.
There's a lot happening at the club heading into the 2026/27 season and we want to fill everyone in — new plans, new faces, and where we're heading as a group. Transparency is key.

🍺 Bar open — grab a drink and catch up with everyone
It's the perfect chance to get together before pre-season kicks off the following week. Come down, hear what's going on, have a feed, and enjoy the footy.

The 2026/27 season is just around the corner and we want YOU in maroon.
This season we're fielding three senior sides — an A Grade and two B Grade teams — meaning there's a spot for everyone, whether you're chasing a flag or chasing a cold one after the game.

🟤 A Grade — coming off a Grand Final appearance last season
🟤 B Grade — improving every year, great group of blokes
🟤 B Grade (Social) — cricket with mates, no pressure, all fun

We're your local club, playing in a local competition. No hour-long drives to away games — just Saturdays spent playing cricket with mates in and around our community.

All levels welcome. Whether you've played rep cricket or haven't picked up a bat in 10 years — we want you down at Chittick Park.
