It’s never easy saying goodbye to one of our own 💙

Next week will be Oli’s last official week with us before he heads back home to the UK 🇬🇧

From day one, he’s brought nothing but positivity, energy, and care to every session — and even stepped up to save the day while Connor was on paternity leave, keeping our community moving and motivated 💪

You’ll still see him around until mid November, so make sure to jump into a class with him and help us give him the send-off he deserves!

Why an overhand vs underhand grip is sometimes prescribed in our training…
It’s not just to show off your nails 😉

👉 Overhand grip (palms down) lights up your back, forearms, and grip strength.

👉 Underhand grip (palms up) recruits more biceps and shifts the emphasis through your lats.

Both grips are useful tools 🛠️ we program them to build balance, variety, and strength across different muscle groups 💪

Slowing things down = BIG results! 💥

In today’s workout, we’re focusing on 3 seconds during the eccentric (lengthening) portion of the movement, followed by a 1 second hold at the bottom before coming back up.

Why?
✨ More muscle activation – your muscles work harder for longer.
🔥 Improved strength & endurance – perfect for building a strong, resilient body.
🧠 Better technique – slowing it down helps you nail your form.

It’s not always about moving fast - sometimes slowing down is where the magic happens. 💪
