* Gates will open at 8am tomorrow, first lesson is at 9am

* All of your horses manure and feed/hay must be collected and taken home, this includes any in the car park, on the ovals and in the yards

* Your lesson times and helper duty will be posted in the pavilion. Make sure you check in with Shannon Bailey to get checked off the helper list.

And that’s a wrap! 🎉
The final stage of the disability ramp was completed late last week, with the concrete steps poured on site, a huge milestone for the project. A massive thank you to Andre, Jarred and the team at PERMAcast for generously donating the steps. Your support has made a real difference. As the saying goes, it takes a village and what an incredible village we have, from time and expertise to funding and services, this project has truly been a community effort from start to finish. We’re excited to see the ramp open up new opportunities for the grounds, including the potential to host para-equestrian events, as well as making the space more accessible for the wider community to enjoy.

🙌 Rallies don’t run without helpers!

SJKARC is a volunteer-run club.

As part of membership, everyone helps with arena & jump set up and pack down at the end of the day.

Many hands = smoother rallies and less work for everyone 💙

Did you know?
Helmet tagging is required under EA rules. If you’re riding under Equestrian Australia disciplines, your helmet must meet approved safety standards and be tagged to show it’s compliant.

🔔 Important update:
EA has introduced updated helmet tagging rules, with new tags required from 1 January 2027.
👉 Current yellow tags will still be accepted until then, as long as your helmet remains compliant.

✅ Helmet tagging helps ensure helmets meet current safety standards
✅ It’s the rider’s responsibility to have a compliant, correctly tagged helmet

✨ What actually happens on a rally day?

If you’re new (or just like knowing what to expect), rallies are relaxed, supportive and designed for riders of all levels.

Here’s how a typical rally day runs:
- Everyone is allocated a helper duty - either set up or pack down
- Check the club room on arrival for your allocated job and class times
- Two lessons per rider, with a 1-hour break in between

🕘 Indicative class times:
8:00am – setup arenas, jumps etc
9:00am – Class 1
10:00am – Class 2
11:00am – Class 3
12:00pm – Class 4
1:00pm – pack down arenas, jumps and club rooms after the final lesson

Anyone 18 years and over with an interest in horse riding and equestrian activities is welcome.  We cater for all riding levels, from beginners to experienced riders.  Please note: members must supply their own horse.
