We probably haven’t looked too deep into the round 2 game itself but we do gain great confidence from executing down the stretch deep in hostile territory.

Our key learnings & improvements about the Crows matchup will come from Round 14, where we were touched up especially early. The candy stripe curse struck with a 3rd consecutive 6-day break & recent tight clashes compounding to a lacklustre outing.

Fast forward to the present, and the midfield battle always has a say on things… Tim is a big barometer for us, typically we go well when he’s on song. Also accountability & attention needs to be shown to the likes of Dawson & Rankine.

Tomorrow’s team selection is a fascinating watch with the Crows boasting a much taller lineup than Collingwood. Funnily enough, Adelaide Oval is our equal 2nd most played at venue this year and we just get the feeling the stars maybe aligning…

Matt Kennedy is a very underrated member of our side & will be a big loss come Saturday. If the Collingwood game is anything to go by, Freijah, West & maybe Sanders will see an increase in midfield minutes with Chuggas absence.

Who comes into the side is the next question and one that could go many ways. A hammy to Baker rules him out, Coffield could return pushing Williams to a wing, Croft or McNeil have been around the mark or does Lewis play forward sending Lobb down to Thilthorpe.

Unless Libba gets up (slim chance), a very intriguing selection call awaiting with no obvious player next in line. THOUGHTS? 💬

The best players perform when the lights are brightest.

After an injury plagued week, Naughton kicked four straight… HUGE. Joined by his partner in crime Arty, who was electric all evening slotting four of his own.

Young stars Sando & Freijah relished the spot light whilst second year players Hynes & Davo stood up playing their roles. All guiding us to a memorable & incredibly important victory. 🐕

Up against it all week.

WE were the better side.

WE deserved the victory.

Could not be more proud of our football club, last night was the absolute epitome of resilience, grit & determination which has been the story of our year.

A game that will go down in Western Bulldogs folklore… enjoy it dogs fans. Anything can happen…❤️🤍💙
