Stretching isn’t just a “nice extra” — it directly affects how your body moves, feels, and ages. Done properly, it supports mobility, strength, and injury prevention.

Here’s what’s actually happening when you stretch (and why it matters):



🧠 1. Improves mobility (not just flexibility)

Flexibility is passive (how far a muscle can go), but mobility is usable range under control.

Stretching helps:

* Lengthen tight muscles
* Improve joint range
* Let you move better in workouts and daily life

👉 Example: Tight hips → poor squats, back strain, slower walking pace.



💪 2. Reduces injury risk

Tight, stiff muscles are more likely to tear when loaded suddenly.

The moment my grandkids see me they ask if we can do a workout together… this melts my soul. We love keeping fit, strong 💪🏻 and healthy together.

- starting an exercise routine

- increasing water intake

- lifting weights
- incorporating stretching

LONGEVITY…… muscle, muscle and more muscle.

Where do I get muscle?
Gym, home, park anywhere you have space to store & lift weights.

What sort of weights? Dumbbells, kettle bells, body weight or even tins from your pantry.

Why lift weights? To gain muscle mass to support bones to move more freely, to maintain muscle especially as we get older.

How? Sign up with a gym, hire a personal trainer, purchase weights for home use.

Age well, age strong to prevent osteoporosis, muscle loss, toned body, to protect bones and good posture.

Life can be hectic with work, family, catching up with friends. We can often put ourselves last.
I often hear ‘ I’m too busy or can’t afford to take time out for myself’

This can be true however if you say no to the universe and yes to you it’s possible.
Taking time out for self care can be as little as 10 mins to 60 mins.
- infrared sauna 30 mins
- massage 30-60 mins
- facial
- epsom salt bubble bath
- deep breathing 5-10 mins
- watching a Disney movie
- reading a book or listening to a podcast 10 - 30 mins

Most of ☝️ only cost time and if you really care for health & wellbeing you will schedule it in your diary.

Another pj session with my hardcore furry PT before a long Jetstar shift.

So pumped to improve on my inbody scan result. It tells you the factual story of muscle, bone density, body fat and more. While it has stayed the same for the last 3 which I’m happy about, it’s very important to my overall health to improve that wellbeing score.

Let’s go Mishy doesn’t matter when, where or how you fit it in as long as you get it done.

The inbody scan comes every 6 weeks to keep you on top & inspired to improve on the areas to get that overall score up.
