His passion, knowledge and commitment continue to have a lasting impact on the Club.

Congratulations also to Rob, recipient of the Club Captains Trophy. Rob’s unwavering commitment to patrolling embodies what it means to be a Surf Life Saver. With more than 165 patrol hours this season and over 2,100 across his career, his dedication to service, humility, quiet determination and sense of humour is outstanding - thanks Rob!

This evening we celebrate the first of our perpetual trophy recipients from Presentation Night recognising outstanding dedication, service and club spirit!

Congratulations to Derek Bawden, recipient of the Most Efficient Patrol Person Award. Derek is known throughout the Club and our SLS Community for his unwavering commitment to patrolling and truly personifies what it means to be a Surf Life Saver. With more than 165 patrol hours this season and over 2,100 career hours - including 1,122 at Seacliff SLSC - his quiet dedication, humility and sense of humour make him an invaluable part of our Club and movement.

Well done also to Evelyn Marr, recipient of the Most Efficient Young Person Award for the season. After gaining her SRC early in the season, Evelyn threw herself into patrolling, accumulating an impressive 47 patrol hours - more than half completed voluntarily to her rostered patrol - despite patrols not being mandatory for U14 competition members. A fantastic example of commitment and service.

A round of applause to Jed Down, recipient of the Most Efficient Youth Award. Ever-present around the Club, Jed is always willing to help and brings a positive attitude to both nippers and patrols. This season he earned his Bronze Medallion, completed more than 100 patrol hours, supported junior water cover, coordinated Youth and Junior R&R and achieved silver medals at both the Sydney Branch Carnival and Aussies in the Open Men’s 5-Person R&R team.

Three incredibly deserving recipients — well done Derek, Evelyn and Jed!

🙌🏻 Community Service in Action at Seacliff SLSC!

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming students and staff from to Seacliff Surf Life Saving Club as part of their community service program.

The students spent the day helping around the club, tackling a variety of jobs including window cleaning, gardening, equipment organisation, general maintenance and tidying of club facilities.

Their enthusiasm, teamwork and willingness to help was outstanding, and they certainly left the club looking better than they found it.

A special thank you to .drummond who spent time with the students and shared her experiences and insights. We would also like to acknowledge our Silver Salties - Anne, Heather, Phillip and Marianne for their support throughout the day and for helping make it such a positive and rewarding experience.

The students were respectful, hardworking and a credit to themselves and Trinity College. It was wonderful to see so many young people giving back to their community while learning more about the important role surf life saving clubs play.

Thank you, Trinity College, for your contribution to Seacliff SLSC. We look forward to welcoming you back again in the future.
