A Heartfelt Thank You 🙏

Scotts Head Paddle Games has come to an end 😢
Newcastle SUP Club would just like to take a moment to say a huge thank you to everyone who made this event so special.

To every competitor who showed up, challenged themselves, and gave it their all on the water thank you, you all ROCK!

To all our volunteers, officials, water safety sponsors, and everyone working tirelessly behind the scenes, we thank you. Events like this simply wouldn’t happen without you.

To the families, friends, and supporters who stood on the beach cheering everybody on every step of the way, thank you. Your encouragement means more than you’ll ever know.

What makes weekends like this so special isn’t just the surfing / racing It’s the incredible friendships that are formed along the way. Friendships built through early mornings, shared challenges, laughs, support, and a love of being on the water. These are the moments and connections that stay with us long after the event is over.

This competition was about so much more than results. It was about community, belonging, and coming together as one big paddle family.

Our hearts are full of gratitude for every person who played a part in making this weekend what it was. Thank you for the memories, the support, the friendships, and the
reminder of how lucky we are to be part of such an amazing community no matter how old you are

We hope you all travel home safely

A huge thank you to everyone who came down to the beach this morning to support the Distance.

It was fantastic to see so many boards lined up on the sand and so many familiar faces cheering everyone on. The atmosphere was incredible.

One of the things I love most about our SUP club is that it’s more than just the competitors. It’s the family and friends who show up to support each other, even when they’re not participating themselves.

Seeing people give up their Sunday morning to encourage others, celebrate achievements and be part of something bigger is what makes our community truly amazing.

Thank you and Congratulations to every competitor, and supporter who helped make the morning such a success. 💙
