Life changed for me,I sold my property and decided to have a bit of a rest from teaching and riding. I am now teaching and riding again, assisting people to find their unicorn. Consultancy in safe and rider-friendly horse care, management and design.

Services on offer for pony club families and Adult riders:

* Support in property design for safe and horse friendly hobby farmers
* Advice on purchasing horse
* Lessons for select riders in horsemanship and flat work
* Support for pony club families- feed, care, horse management
* Consultancy in building confidence for nervous riders
* Riding Clientele must be registered with Pony Club or HRCAV

Connawarra Riding Club is excited to announce that our next school holiday clinic will be held on the 24th and 25th of September, 2018!

Our popular clinics are designed to help prepare children (and their parents!) for a happy and successful competition experience.

Building on the fun and friendships from previous clinics, the September Clinic will help to develop those skills required for Pony Club and Interschool events at all levels.

As part of the clinic, we will also be running our invaluable forum:

"Supporting Your Child in Competition & Training"

The forum will walk parents through the minefield of how to enter children in equestrian competitions, what level and grades children should enter and what registrations are required.

The total cost for this two day clinic is $200 per child.

Connawarra Riding & Consulting presents:

“So You Want To Be A Coach” Workshop Series

This workshop Series is suitable for people 16 years and over who are interested in coaching on a professional basis.

In this series of 5, 2 hour workshops the following topics will be covered:

* How to get started.

* Pathways to becoming a professionally accredited coach.

* Safety and insurance,

* Positive approach to coaching and how to keep it happening.

* Skills, techniques and strategies specific to the sport.

* Practice of coaching methods.

* Lesson plans.

* Problem solving issues with riders.

* The difference between coaching a group, private and semi- private students and the skills required to do this successfully.

* Fun activities that improve riding skills for young riders.

* Working with families and people who are new to Equestrian sport.

* Coaching within your capability.

The group will meet once a week for 4 weeks to work through the above theory and then on the 15th of October the final workshop will involve a practical session.

Cost: $30 per workshop or $135.00 Early bird price (if all 5 Workshops are paid for by the 28th of September).
Sessions will run for 2 hours.
Only 10 places available.

Dates:
5th, 12th, 19th, 26th September 6pm-8pm and 15th of October 6pm-9pm (practical session)

Both Phoebe Cohalan and Lucy Ford created this little photo video of the Winter Clinic. I will try to upload it now, that’s if I can do it.! 😊 Both of these young women are part of Connawarra riding and consulting and have been for a number of years. Most of the photos are taken by the Ford family. Both young women I am proud to say are becoming wonderful young coaches and riders. Part of my philosophy at Connawarra is to give back to your sport and inspire younger and older riders. These young ladies do this in bucket loads as does Zoe King and Izzy Luxmoore. At times I give them a call and they are there to help in a flash. The Equestrian world is a better place because of these young inspiring women.
