🌟 HOW GOOD IS THIS 🌟

Scone Rugby Club, along with Abbey Geary and Jess Forsyth, would like to say a massive thank you to MacCallum & Co for their generous support of our girls following their selection in the Hunter Women’s Representative Rugby Squad 👏

MacCallum & Co kindly sponsored the girls’ registrations for the upcoming Country Championships, helping support them as they prepare to represent not only the Hunter region, but also the Scone community on a bigger stage.

Support like this means so much — not only to the players themselves, but to the continued growth of women’s sport and regional rugby. It’s amazing to see local businesses backing women in sport, supporting local talent, and getting behind our club and community.

🌟🩵 REPRESENTATIVE HONOURS 🩵🌟

Scone Rugby Club would like to give a massive congratulations to our very own Abbey Geary and Jess Forsyth on their selection in the Hunter Women’s Representative Rugby Squad 👏🏽

Over the Easter long weekend, the girls travelled away to trial for the Hunter side, with more than 60 women from across the region putting their hands up for selection. From that group, only 25 players were chosen — with Abbey and Jess both earning their place in the squad. An incredible achievement and one the entire club and community should be proud of.

As a new women’s program here at Scone Rugby, this selection not only highlights the talent within our club, but also the exciting future of women’s rugby in our women's rugby in our region. Abbey is also one of our junior players who has come through the Scone Rugby pathways system. Seeing local juniors progress through the ranks and achieve representative honours is something incredibly special for our club and showcases the strength of rugby pathways here in Scone 💙

The girls will represent Hunter this weekend at the Country Championships in Tamworth at Pirates Rugby Club and Scully Park, with their first game kicking off at 11am on Saturday, May 16 at Pirates Rugby Club.

🏉💙 ROUND 5 WRAP UP 💙🏉

Sponsors Day definitely didn’t disappoint 🙌🏽
A massive crowd, an unreal atmosphere, and even better footy made for one of the best days at the club this season.

Unfortunately it wasn’t the result the women were chasing, going down to a very well-drilled Merewether side. But the girls never gave up and continued to fight right until the final whistle — plenty to build on moving forward 🩵

Men’s 2nd Grade came away with a strong win over Pokolbin, with the side really starting to gel and find their rhythm as the season rolls on 🔥

And our 1st Grade boys showed exactly why they won the comp last season, putting on a classy performance against Muswellbrook and showcasing their skill across the park in front of a huge home crowd 👏🏽

More than anything, it was fantastic seeing so many sponsors, supporters, players, and families enjoying the afternoon together. Days like this are what community rugby is all about, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who came out and supported the club.

Round 5 is here and it’s a big one for the club as we proudly celebrate Sponsors Day — a day dedicated to the incredible businesses and people who support Scone Rugby.

This weekend we’re proud to host one of the most important days on our calendar — Sponsors Day.

ROUND 4 WRAP 🏉🩵

It may have been just one game at the club this weekend, but it was definitely one not to miss!

Our ladies came out firing, striking first with a slick inside ball to go over under the posts — a great start and a sign of what this side is capable of 🔥

While the girls eventually went down to a strong Uni outfit, the effort, determination, and fight shown right across the field was something to be proud of. There’s plenty of potential in this group, and we’re excited to see what’s ahead for these girls in the coming years 💪🏽

A big thank you to everyone who came down to support — it never goes unnoticed!

🏉💙 SCONE JUNIORS – ROUND 1 💙🏉

Footy is back for our juniors this Friday night and it all kicks off under lights at home with our Under 18s boys 🔥

We’re taking on Farrer in what’s always a big rivalry clash, so you can expect plenty of intensity, skill, and pride out on the field. It’s set to be a cracking atmosphere and the perfect way to launch the junior season 🙌🏽

A number of our Under 18s boys have already been stepping up and pulling on the jersey in our senior grades, and this is a great chance to see them back in their age group and doing their thing. These are the players coming through our pathways, and your support means everything as they continue to develop and represent the club.

Get down, get around them, and help us kick off the junior season the right way 💙
