They say love what you do and you’ll never work a day in your life, so I did exactly that. Being apart of the Fitness Industry for the past 2 years, and helping people completely transform their lives through their health, fitness and wellness is a dream come true.

Beyond proud of our hard work, and the gym, especially since renovations! Being the Club Manager of AF Richmond, I truely believe in all of our values, and know that we are always the place for you if you need any guidance or assistance on your fitness journey. Yes I said it, that number does not devalue your hard work or your worth! Let me start this with, you could potentially weigh MORE, but achieve your physical change results and be at your LEANEST 💪🏼 crazy right ?!?!

PLANKING

Let’s be real, who really like planks? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Well, let me tell you how beneficial they are to add into your session.

- strengthens your core
- improves your balance
- builds endurance
- strengthens your lower back to protect it during compound movements
- you can ALWAYS get better at planks with practice

How do you hold the perfect plank?
- think of keeping your body in a straight line
- elbows directly under your shoulders
- pelvis held in a neutral position
- ankles at a 90 degree bend
- do not drop your neck
- keep your abs switched ON at all times

IT’S TIME TO CREATE CHANGE WITH YOUR HABITS ⚡️

⚡️SET REALISTIC GOALS
Set yourself goals you know you can achieve, this way you stay committed. Whether it be a goal to reach by the end of the week, the end of the month, or in 6-12 months. PLAN how you will achieve these.

⚡️STAY CONSISTENT
You need to stay consistent, even when the last thing you feel like doing is moving your body or eating a balanced meal. Results come with time, and trust me, consistency is key. Hold yourself accountable on your habits and goals!

⚡️REWARD YOURSELF
Did you reach a goal? Set yourself something to reward yourself with. Whether it be a new activewear set, dinner out or some new kicks. This will help you hold yourself accountable and hitting that reward is the BEST feeling.

⚡️TAKE RESPONSIBILITY
Know when you are falling off track, take responsibility for your actions. Know the consequences.

⚡️DON’T. GIVE. UP.
This is the golden nugget. Do not give up. Work hard, I promise, the results will follow. Make YOURSELF proud. Don’t let anyone get in your way!

My favourite part of being a women’s coach is watching my clients see their bodies change, but this doesn’t come easy. There’s no quick fix, or magic diet that does the work for you - it all comes down to consistency and discipline, and my clients are ALWAYS ready to work 💪🏼

There will always be times when you don’t want to get out of bed, or you feel you aren’t getting anywhere or just can’t be bothered - but with discipline and consistency you will thank yourself when you are finally seeing the results you work so hard to achieve.

THINGS I WISH I KNEW AS A BEGINNER IN THE GYM ⚡️

- You will not see results quickly. Showing up and being consistent is what gets you results. If you aren’t willing to put in the work, you will not achieve your desired results.

- Recovery is SO important. If you aren’t giving yourself time to recover, your results can be impacted. Recovery is just as important as training.

- Don’t think so much about those around you. Gym anxiety is a real thing, and I can guarantee you those around you are not watching how you are training. Be confident when moving your body.

- FOOD IS FUEL. To maximise your performance and your recovery, you need to be fuelling your body with the right nutrients. Making sure you are eating a healthy balanced diet is so important.

- Don’t let the scale define you. It’s just a number. There is so much more to it then watching this number rise and drop. Keep yourself active, take photos regularly to compare. Don’t get so fixated on the number on the scale.

- DRINK YOUR WATER. Staying hydrated not only keeps your body functioning, but can improve your sleep, mood, skin and more.

For the month of September, I have decided to take part in the BIG walk for LITTLE kids!

This September is Childhood Cancer Awarness Month, and I will be walking 75KMS + to raise money for children and families battling cancer.

As most people know, I lost my older brother to a brain tumour at a young age, and every single day he still inspires me to keep a smile on my face, and be grateful for absolutely everything. he was the biggest fighter, and I want to support other little ones going through the same thing.

Why have I aimed to raise $720? I chose this amount, because this will raise enough money to help multiple children bring back their gorgeous smile on their face, with Camp Quality! 🤍

Thankyou in advance to all those who donate some $$, and Thankyou for supporting me to raise awareness for children with cancer. 🌻

🔥 LEG PRESS VARIATIONS 🔥
NARROW STANCE VS WIDE STANCE
(Check out my Instagram for how to videos)

When incorporating the leg press into your lower body sessions, you are performing a compound movement. Using this piece of equipment helps to target the muscles in your legs, including your quadriceps, hamstrings, as well as your glutes!

NARROW STANCE
This variation involves placing your feet closer together than your normal foot position when performing a leg press.
This narrow stance places a bit more emphasis on your outer quads, whilst still working your hamstrings and glutes.

WIDE STANCE
This variation involves placing your feet further apart than your normal foot position. The wide stance places more emphasis on the inner thighs and glutes, whilst still working your hamstrings.

I usually perform 4 sets of 12 reps, or add in another exercise and perform in a superset.
Add one of these into your next lower body session 💪🏼
