HAWKS CHALLENGE STAR DRAGON
👏👏👏 WHAT A GAME!? 👏👏👏

Wowzers, what a tough battle last night's match was against Star Dragon!!

Under Assistant Coach Ernie's watchful guidance, our boys managed to remain focussed against a well skilled team, keeping Star Dragon from scoring with our impenetrable defence and causing significant frustration I'm sure.

The boys remained composed throughout and while there was no win recorded for our Round 5 match, our Hawks didn't lose either and should hold heir heads high - understanding this was going to be a tough match and they certainly rose to the challenge.
Well done boys!

The boys managed to keep Star Dragon's score low throughout the match and, with 3 quick baskets in the 2nd half, brought them back into the game. A late 2 pointer in the final seconds evened the match when the final buzzer sounded - a 12-all draw.

Great result boys - good job!
We'll get'em next time!

HAWKS OUTPLAY SYDNEY BLAZERS

An incredible performance by our Hawks, playing with a lean 5-player team, managing to outplay Sydney Blazers with an impressive 25-13 WIN - well done boys! 👏👏👏

Assistant coach Ernie was super impressed with the boys' effort - playing a clean and disciplined game with minimal handovers, solid defence, outstanding ball movement and team confidence winning the match - we're so, so proud!

Each player doing an amazing job, working together to control the game with minimal fouls, holding defensive positions, ball steals, accurate passing, driving forward, making shots, taking rebounds and defending the paint - all key elements of winning games.

Huge thanks to Ernie for coaching the boys through this match - the boys responding to your instruction and guidance - the final score our reward.

Well done Hawks - an awesome job!! 👏👏👏

HAWKS MATCH UP AGAINST SYDNEY BLAZERS

Next Monday, our Hawks face Sydney Blazers which is sure to be an exciting match to watch.

A late start in comparison, this match kicks-off from 8.00pm at Bernie Mullane, Kellyville. If you're looking for something to do, come down and watch the boys run around the court - you won't be disappointed.

The boys are on a winning streak - let's see if they can make a hat trick! 🤞🤞

What an exciting Winter season opener against Redfield Rimrockers!

Was great to see our newcomers Shann and Elijah came onto the court full of confidence, displaying some impressive ball skills, making fabulous shots, awesome breaks and fitting into the team dynamic beautifully!

🥳 We Did It!! 🏀🏆👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
2023 U15 Boys Premiers!!

What a nail biting, nerve wracking, edge of your seat match! 🫣🤩
So, so proud of our HAWKS, managing to defeat the season leaders with a team of 5 (no subs due to injury, etc.), against an army of worthy opponents and take out the Premiership - a 22-19 WIN against the Hurricanes.
Well done boys - Woohooo!! 👏🏼👏🏼

We’ll enjoy a season end, big-day-out when the boys are all together, to celebrate their amazing achievement. 😍

Special thanks to Jeremy and Kwaku for your time and effort to coach, mentor and develop the boys to a level where they’re worthy competitors and deserving of this Premiership Win! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Thanks to our amazing Parents for getting our boys to training each week. It wasn’t easy, with inconsistent training days/times, trying to juggle court and coach availability however, all the hard work paid off and I’m grateful of your support throughout the season.

2022-23 SUMMER COMP
SEMI FINAL WRAP-UP

What an exciting game that was!! 🤩

I honestly could not be more proud of our boys! What a gutsy effort to play the full game with no subs, remain consistent throughout the match and annihilate Hills Heat as you did - give yourselves a huge pat on the back - WELL DONE!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

You all played together, for each other, as a team and that’s when the magic happens. 🤩

That amazing effort rewarded you boys with a well deserved position in next week’s GRAND FINAL!! Congratulations! 🥳👏🏼🥳👏🏼

Huge thanks to Jeremy and Kwaku for your time training/coaching the boys to get where they are today - a phenomenal achievement which could not have happened without you. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

The job’s not done yet - one more match and hopefully, our Hawks can come away as 2022-23 Hills Hornets Summer Comp U15s Champions.

It’s unfortunate for Brayden (injuring his foot last week), Nikhil (away in India) and Blaize (our emergency stand-in) who missed playing in the finals. You all contributed to get the Hawks this far - I’m sure the boys will give everything they’ve got at Grand Final and make you proud!

ROUND 4 WRAP UP
🔥🔥 HAWKS COOL THE HEAT ❄️❄️

Congratulations boys on last night's win against Heat at Castle Hill.

The Heat played a very physical match, fouls were high from both sides, ref calls were inconsistent, we struggled to put points on the board and emotions ran high throughout the match.

Thankfully the boys managed to hang in there till the final buzzer, taking the match 14-9. 👏👏👏

Sadly, that was Kwaku's last match as Coach for the foreseeable future and we take this opportunity to say 'Thank You' for the work put into our Hawks, the growth (as individuals and a team), experience and the amazing results achieved in such a short time.

You'll be truly missed by us all - we wish you every success for the Reps season and expect you back with us in the 2nd half of next year to continue what we started. 😉

Next week is a bye, ahead of our rostered 6-week Christmas break.

Our Hawks will continue to train through the break and return for our next scheduled match on Monday 30 January 23.
