Scarborough Universal Taekwondo Want to learn a martial art at a low cost, casual and family friendly club for ages 7+? Try Scarborough Universal Taekwondo! Regular class (kids 11+ and adults).

We are a low-fee, casual, family friendly club. New students are welcome at any time (no booking required) and your first lesson is a free trial with no commitments. We run our club because we love taekwondo, not to make a profit! We run three types of class:

NEW: Kids only class (kids 7-10) starting Term 3 2017! Just for kids, this class is a great introduction to taekwondo, with a focus on fun!

Tues 4:30-5:20 pm. $10 a lesson, or $80 for 10 lessons
Special offer for new students: Buy a 10 visit pass and receive a free uniform! This class is suitable for all students, including beginners and coloured belts. Tues and Thurs 5:30 - 6:30 pm. Just $6 a class for ages 11-17, $7 a class for adults. Special offer for new students: 50% off your first 8 lessons! Black belts/advanced students (ages 15+): Tues 6:30 - 7:30 pm. Already have some training from another club or martial art? This class is for you. Tues 6:30 - 7:30pm. $6 a class for ages 15-17, $7 a class for adults. No expensive lock-in contracts - just one low yearly club membership fee of $40. Only pay your membership fee once you've been training for a few sessions to see if you like it. Our training is focused on self-defense. Our classes involve kicking and punching technique, one-steps, patterns and sparring. Sorry, we don't enter in competitions or practice Olympic style taekwondo (World Taekwondo Federation sparring). Stuart Argus

Opening will be subject to a COVID Safety Plan (details still being confirmed, but we assume will include max 20 people per class).

For those of you hanging out for classes to reopen:
We are still awaiting information about whether Scarborough Leisure Centre will be opening next week, but we’ll let you know as soon as we do. Fingers crossed it’s not too much longer!
