Our fishing club enjoyed a highly successful weekend on the water with excellent participation and great range of species caught. It was especially pleasing to welcome a number of new members who joined us for their first outing. This weekend marked a great start to winter fishing with good conditions, great camaraderie and plenty of enthusiasm from everyone involved. The wind has been playing havoc with fishing of late but a few hardy soles managed to brave the conditions and bring home dinner.

Here are some of the catches from last week along with some of the dishes our members have cooked up. There are plenty of Bonito around at the moment and if prepared well are a beautiful dish as sashimi or cooked over coals. (See pics)
