Sandy Creek Golf Club The Sandy Creek Golf Club is an 18-hole, par 72 course located in the heart of the World famous Baro The sandbelt course provides great year-round enjoyment.

The Sandy Creek Golf Club is an 18-hole, par 72, 6030-metre course located at Sandy Creek, at the entrance to the Barossa Valley, just 55 minutes from the Adelaide Central Business District. The course is situated on gently undulating land with extensive views over the Barossa Valley from many parts of the course. Flowering gums and other native trees and shrubs provide a home for a large variety

of birds and the many kangaroos which can be seen relaxing on and off fairways. It provides the complete golfing experience with superbly manicured greens and a picturesque layout featuring several well-positioned lakes. The course and facilities are maintained to the highest standards and we are renowned for our friendly country hospitality. In 2020 the course was ranked by Golf Australia Magazine as the 11th best course in South Australia and was recently included in the Magazine's list of "100 Fun Aussie Courses for $50 or less." Sandy Creek Golf Club warmly welcomes visitors and boasts significant practice facilities including a 320m driving range, practice bunker and two practice greens, plus a fleet of modern electric carts. Come and enjoy a great round of golf, perhaps as part of a visit to the internationally acclaimed Barossa region. The Club has a fully licensed, airconditioned Clubhouse that seats 100 people. It was close at the top of today's leaderboard with visitors coming out on top.

Congratulations to Craig Mapstone (Edithburgh) who won the Sunday Comp with 39 points on a countback from James Mapstone (GenY).

Harrison Matthews was third with 38 points.

Jamie Howcroft was second with 37 points.

Placegetters were Robert McKeaig, Zack McKeaig and Dan Ryan with 36 points, David Dunn and Toni Hartman with 35 points, and Boris Blazincic, Ellis Richardson, Axyl Smallacombe (GenY) and Patrick Curry with 34 points.

Some excellent scoring in the Weekly Comp, none better than James Scoulidis who won the comp with a fabulous 44 points (76 off the stick, a personal best for James!). Congratulations James.

Nigel Hall was second with 42 points and Matthew Feast was third with 38 points.

Saturday Competition Score Update

In an unfortunate turn of events, Colin McKenzie advised today that he inadvertently gave himself an incorrect score on hole 10 - he had a 6, not an eagle 3 as submitted. A disappointing mistake, as it was still an excellent round.

In the circumstances, the winner of the Par Plus competition was Jon Munn with +4 on a countback. Congratulations Jon!

Junior champion Alex Keylock takes on defending champion Patrick Brind in the men's A grade championship.

Jordan Falkenberg plays Daryl Shepherdson for the men's B grade championship and Dylan Barnes takes on Alan McLeod for the men's C grade championship.
