Hobart City FC Hobart City F.C. is a football (soccer) club that play in the suburb of Sandy Bay

Hobart City Beachside plays its home games at Sandown Park, known to fans as the Tropicana Cauldron or simply Tropicana. Hobart City Beachside FC was formed in 2021 between the existing Beachside Football Club and a group seeking to establish a new club under the name of the former Hobart City FC. Rather than compete with each other, both groups agreed to come together to form Hobart City Beachsid

e FC. Beachside FC, originally known as 'Howrah Soccer Club' because it played in the Hobart suburb of Howrah. The club then adopted the name 'BeachSide HSC' when it moved to its current home near Long Beach, in Sandy Bay keeping the 'HSC' from 'Howrah Soccer Club' In 2011 the name was changed again to Beachside FC. Hobart City FC was formed by the local Italian community and was known as Hobart City Azzurri FC until the early 80s when like many other clubs, they were forced to drop ethnic references and renamed themselves Hobart City FC.
