Hi, it's been a while since I posted anything. Using sleeves for Squats, your feedback on depth would be appreciated.

But here it is, back from tweaking an old left knee injury. Now squatting in sleeves trying to getnused them, really prefer bare knee. But age requires sacrifice, lol. Well, it's better for me in the long run.

Squat 4x5 115kg.
Just trying to feel depth in the sleeves.

RDL 3x8 107.5kg
Extra height to allow for my rock ape arms, and to increase ROM.

SL Leg Ext. 4 sets 18.75kg 15rep targets, then AMRAP rest, weight progresses when 15 reps is achieved in Sets 1 & 2.

Hamstring Cable Kick 3x15 27.5kg
This one is to focus on the Hamstring, not trying to work the glute. ROM might look a bit limited, but the hammy is under constant tension, and it gets hit. Believe me 🀣😒🀣

Hope you like and have fun staying strong for life πŸ’ͺ πŸ–– πŸ™‚ liftheavy strongforlife strongwomen nevertooold strongnotskinny strongman startingstrength progessiveoverload linearprogression nlp novicelinearprogression powerlifting powerliftingwomen

Workout vids for you to have a gander at, only my main lifts from each of my 3 sessions.

If you have any questions, comments, or advice, please send me a message or leave a comment. I would love to hear from you.

Vid 1 Squat 115kg 3x8 (comp squat)
Working on technique while getting in some volume work. I probably should be wearing sleeves, but I just like how squatting bare knees feels. This is the only barbell squat I do for the week.

Vid 2 Bench Press 88kg 3x8 (medium grip)
I'm just getting in some volume in a slightly different hand position. Change is a s good as a holiday.

Vid 3 Stiff legged deadlift 142.5kg 3x8
Volume work that will carry over to my deadlift, at a lighter weight to just help with joint stress. I do belt squats on this day also to help with the first part of the deadlift. I find doing it like this has good carry over to my conventional deadlifts without stressing the joints with heavier weights and getting stale with normal deadlifts.

Okay, power peeps, have fun staying strong for life πŸ’ͺ πŸ–– πŸ™‚.

Okay I know you have been waiting for it🀣🀣.

The Yuris Stern Comp recap, videos of the successful last lifts shown.

Big thanks to all the spotters, judges, loaders, volunteers and commentators.

Thank you to and
And to , thank you, the great photos, mate. It is very much appreciated.

So all went pretty much as expected. Squats a bit better, BP as expected and Deads, well I had a BUtt Muscle blow out🀣😞🀣

Strained a glutw muscle on the first deadlift, so I called it after that.

First comp back after glandular fever early in the year and a very emotional and mentally challenging rest of the year. A lot of personal crap going on.

Squat- 155kgβœ…οΈ, 165kgβœ…οΈ, 175kgβœ…οΈ
BP - 100kgβœ…οΈ, 105kgβœ…οΈ, 110kg❌️
Deadlift - 202.5kgβœ…οΈ, injury.
Total - 482.5kg

Other than ihe injury(minor strain), all went well and I had a great time.lifting and catching up with peoples.

Hilo, well this was the last week of comp for the Yuris Stern comp on the 19th of October. Starts at 10am come down for gander.

Well other than bench not to bad, a ways off where I was and am trying to be. But after thus year I am happy with where I am at. Well except for the bicep strain I got on Tuesday practising golf. This led to what should have been an easy single at 107.5kg to a hard failure..,..it is what it is so we just gotta work with that.

Otherwise all is okay and I am looking forward to the comp.

Squat 162.5kg x2
Bench 107.5kg ❌️ (100kg moved okay)
Deadlift 202.5kg x2

My weight has come down 7kg in the last 9 weeks, which is the main goal. Ultimately, I would like to be around 115kg, but for comps 120kg to 125kg seems to be where I work best. The next couple of weeks will see me just ring to maintaining my weight (pseudo diet break) and then back into it leading up to Christmas.

Well all, keep having fun staying strong for life πŸ’ͺ πŸ–– πŸ™‚

Hi all, the week that was lol. 2nd last week of prep done for the Yuris Stern at Sunday 19th of October.

Here are my last heavy sets of Squat, Bench and Deadlifts. Squat is not moving as well as the others, well doesn't feel as good, I should say. Deadlift is moving a lot better than I thought it would be. So it all balances out in the end πŸ˜„ 🀣.

Last Sets Shown:
Squat 157.25kg 3x 2reps
Bench 105kg 3x 2reps
Deadlift 195kg 3x 3reps

My knees may be my limiting factor, lacking a little confidence it how they are feeling maybe. It may be time to start training with knee sleeves. I prefer the feel without them, honestly. But I may have to bite the bullet here and just start wearing them.

Okay people have a great long weekend and have fun staying strong for life πŸ’ͺ πŸ–– πŸ™‚
