Facilities - The Club site contains 14 en-tout-cas tennis courts including 2 show courts, 4 plexipave hard courts and a well appointed licensed clubhouse set within the grounds that looks towards Lake Guthridge. Sale Tennis Club will host an Open Day on Sunday September 13.

With the Wellington Gippsland Tennis Association season starting next month, we're hoping to see a huge crowd of junior and senior players taking the opportunity to get on court and enjoy an afternoon of social tennis and off court fun.

The day’s activities commence from midday with a free lunch followed by 3 sets of tennis from around 1.00 pm for the more enthusiastic and a relaxing drink or a cup of tea for the less energetic. At the end of the tennis there will be an afternoon tea
served. The whole day is free, there will be a spinning wheel, a monster raffle and many other prizes.

On the day the Club will welcome back many of its Life Members, who have been recognised for their outstanding past and ongoing contribution. The Club is looking forward to hosting the extended Flint and Best families to celebrate their lifelong
association with Sale Tennis Club. The three awards on Open Day are the Ian Flint Memorial Trophy, The Monica Best Memorial Trophy and the Keith Best Memorial Trophy.

Absolutely everyone is welcome with new players especially encouraged to come and join in the fun. A huge thank you to our raffle supporters:

Sale Tennis Club was thrilled to host Drouin Tennis Club for the first ever inter-club challenge last Sunday.

With 16 juniors and 16 adults representing each club, players enjoyed a fantastic day of singles and doubles in perfect conditions. After some fiercely contested matches, Sale came away victorious and was awarded the shield.

Congratulations to MVPs Amber Koopmans (Drouin Junior), Giselle Michau-Hyde (Drouin Senior), Lennie Christie (Sale Junior) and Josiah Tweed (Sale Senior).

A huge thank you to everyone involved, especially Head Coach and Tournament Director Jason Yap for keeping the busy day running smoothly. The day finished with a well-earned BBQ and plenty of great tennis memories.

We look forward to defending the shield in Drouin next year!

We’re proud to recognise Matthew Inga as one of our Term 3 Scholarship recipients.

On top of possessing one of STC's best smiles, he is also one of our up-and-coming juniors in our Hotshots Squad, showing great determination, growth and a real willingness to keep learning. One of his biggest areas of development has been learning to stay positive and reset when things get tough.

His simple routine of taking a breath, taking a timeout and regulating before getting back into the fight is something we can all learn from.

The Inga family are a huge part of our STC community, always willing to help, get involved and spend countless hours at the club creating memories together. They truly embody the values we want Sale Tennis Club to stand for: family, growth, inclusion and community.

Sale Tennis Club hosted a Purple Night on Friday night in support of Sale Rotary Club's "Sale says NO to domestic and family violence" campaign.

Players all turned out for their regular Friday training sessions dressed in purple to show their support for the campaign against domestic and family violence.

Rotary Club of Sale President Lisa Wakeman and executive member Colin Adams along with other Rotary members were on hand to share the evening. Colin addressed the group and discussed the extent and impact of domestic violence in our community.

All proceeds from the "Feel Good Friday" Ranford's sausage sizzle and the raffle helped to raise over $300 for Rotary to support their campaign.

Starting tennis as a late beginner just a few years ago, Lawrence has shown what can happen when you combine a growth mindset with a willingness to work.

Today, he's grown into one of the top juniors in the region, member of our High Performance Squad while also contributing to our coaching team.

But what makes Lawrence stand out isn't just what he does on court. Also a member of our Junior Committee, he's always quick to put his hand up, help others and lift those around him. He's a fantastic role model for our younger players and a great example of where a positive attitude, hard work and consistency can take you.

We're incredibly proud of his growth and contribution to Sale TC.
