Big congratulations to Maffra O’Briens made up of Anthony Glynn , Julie Foat , Erika Allen, Alecia Dignan and Dylan Board on taking out the State League Championships against Eildon Park. Very very close game. Team mates Thomas Foley and Declan Simons couldn’t be there but were cheering on from Gippsland.

What a day for WGTA Grand Finals! 🎾

A little morning drizzle tried to make an appearance, but it did nothing to dampen the spirits of our junior players, who brought energy, grit and plenty of smiles to an early start.

As the day rolled on, the misty rain cleared and the stakes lifted, with our senior matches taking centre stage at Heyfield.

And what a way to finish…

Both Section 1 and Section 2 senior grand finals went right down to the wire, with victory decided by just five games — a true reflection of how evenly matched and fiercely contested these matches were.

👏 Huge congratulations to all winners (check out the tiles!)
👏 And to every player, volunteer and club who made the day such a success

🎾 WGTA GRAND FINAL DAY – THIS SATURDAY! 🎾

It all comes down to this… the big dance for Season 2026!

A huge congratulations to all teams who’ve earned their spot in the Grand Finals – a fantastic achievement and well deserved 👏

📍 JUNIORS – Sale Tennis Club - 8:30am start
Come along early and support our future stars as they take to the court in what’s always a great morning of tennis.

📍 SENIORS – Heyfield Tennis Club - 1:00pm start

Heyfield Tennis Club have been hard at work getting the courts and surrounds ready and are putting on a great day for everyone:

🔥 Free BBQ after matches

It’s shaping up to be a brilliant day across both venues – great tennis, great atmosphere, and a chance to celebrate the season with your tennis community.
