Day 5 of isolation and emotions are high, my fuse is short and surprisingly, with no where to go my body image issues have been even more amplified.
I struggled a lot through the 20/21 lockdowns, perhaps you can relate?
And it feels as if this week has thrown me right back in to the deep end of those feelings.
I know for certain that things are a whole lot worse for me mentally if I don't move my body, so a non negotiable for me during this time has been to spend at least half an hour on my mat each day.
Isn't it true for so many of us the first thing we drop when life gets a little crazy is our movement practice? But then once we pick it back up again something shifts inside, things feel a little easier, we get a sense of ease in the body, and an exhale ... "why did I ever stop this?"
So here's a clip of me wiggling about on my mat to hopefully inspire you, whether things are feeling a little crazy in your world or not, to move your body today.
Trust me when I say your mind (and body) will thank you for it.
