The very cold & windy day greeted golfers on Tuesday the 15th of September when the format was Stableford. There were 28 players (22*18-hole players & 6*9-hole players) on course where the greens had been cored & the ground staff were topdressing the front 9 so play started from the 10th tee. Amazing to see Di Tullberg & Judy Hunter playing a social 9 holes in those conditions too. Well done ladies!
The scores reflected the sandy greens & strong wind.
Results for the day are below:

NTP 9th Hole (glass): Gerri Robson.
NTP 17th Hole (glass): Maureen Cousins.

If you were not there to receive your prize, please check in the Pro Shop. If you won a voucher it will be on your bar tab.

Next Tuesday is the 1st round of the Foursomes Championships for 2026 so you need a partner for 2 weeks. There is an entry fee of $5 for 18-hole ladies & $3 for 9-hole ladies & this is payable to the Pro Shop on the date of the first round. Those who can only play 1 week can still play in the day competition.
Note that the ladies who regularly play on a Tuesday can play in the Foursomes on Saturday also (in the day competition) but you must nominate Saturday as your Championship day if Saturday is your preferred day. Good luck to all players.

Take care & stay safe.

The first day of Spring & the sun was shining but the extremely strong winds made conditions pretty tough for golf on Tuesday the 1st of September. An overcast day but no rain (despite the forecast!) for golf on Tuesday the 25th of August. There were 26 players (22*18-hole players & 4*9-hole players) on course for the final round of the Par 3 Championships. I think a few were put off by the forecast & pulled out on Monday night.
The course was very wet after steady rain overnight on Monday, so it was lucky we were on the Par 3 course.
Thanks to Deb for the photos of our 2 champions for 2026.

Results for the day are below:

B Grade (Handicaps + to 26) Winner ($30 voucher): Joan Spence (22) Nett 51.

The weather was kind again for golf on Tuesday the 11th of August although a bit cool to start. There was very little wind & no rain then when the sun came out it was lovely. Only 23 ladies were on course for the 1st round of the Par 3 Championship, all 18-hole players. The course was very wet so good we were on the Par 3 course.
No 9-hole competition as only 5 ladies turned up! I will consider making next week the 1st round for the 9-hole ladies if there are enough entered, otherwise the trophy will not be awarded this year.

Due to the small number of entries, I decided to award prizes for 1st to 4th rather than by grades. Results for the day are below:

Winner ($30 voucher): Teresa Lincoln (15) 3 Up. Beware the wounded golfer they say. Great result for your first round back after surgery.
Runner Up ($20 voucher): Amy Brown (27) 2 Up on count back.
3rd Place: ($15 voucher): Caroline Lester (36) 2 Up.
4th Place: ($10 voucher): Michelle Cashion (43) 1 Up on count back.

Pro Balls (1 Down or Better): Andy Dangerfield (1 Up), Sue Gordon & Sue White (Square), Kathy Iredale, Deb Sein, Cheryl Saker, Anita Powell & Joan Spence (All 1 Down).

NTP 3rd Hole (Glass): Angela Olarenshaw.
NTP 10th Hole (2 Balls): Vicki Mallcott.

Be sure to book in for next Tuesday, when it is the 2nd round of the 18-hole championship & the format is Stableford. The 9-hole ladies will play Par if sufficient entries are in before Tuesday.

Take care, stay safe, dry & warm.

An overcast, cool & windy day greeted golfers on Tuesday the 4th of August. The showers held off until around 11am & unfortunately became heavy meaning the conditions were awful for last couple of groups. The course was quite wet but considering the amount of rain recently it has held up pretty well.
As for the last 2 months the format was Stableford and the August Monthly Medal for the 18-hole ladies. There were no 9-hole ladies as the rain started just as they were due to tee off so none were keen to play. A wise decision given how wet it did become later on.
A very small field of 20 brave/crazy players still turned up to play.
Attached is a photo of our medal winner, thanks to Deb Sein.

18 Hole Event – 20 Players: Only 1 grade but 3 prizes due to the small field.
Grade Winner ($30 voucher): Anita Powell (37) 40 Points, great score especially in those conditions.
Grade Runner Up ($15 voucher): Amy Brown (34) 38 Points, another very good score.
Grade 3rd Place ($10 voucher): Jarrod Henham (8) 37 Points.
Pro Balls (28 Points or better): Sue Bamberry (34) Colleen Blackmore (33), De Sein (30), Sue White (30), Liz Gregory (29), Linda Fredricson (28).

Congratulations to Anita Powell who with the fabulous score of 40 points is the August monthly medal winner.

NTP 4th Hole (glass): Linda Fredricson.
NTP 13th Hole (glass): Kathy Iredale - 2nd shot was almost in the hole!
Random Number Winners: (3 Balls each): Liz Gregory.

If you were not at presentations to collect your Pro Ball, ball prize or voucher, please check in the Pro Shop.

A reminder to all that next week is the 1st of 3 rounds for the Par 3 Championships for both the 9 & 18-hole players so please be sure to enter. The 1st round is Par, followed by Stableford then Stroke. The 9-hole ladies will play the back 9 on the 2nd week.

The lucky numbers' winners (number in brackets) were Colleen Blackmore (18) Liz Gregory (2) & Sue Gordon (34). All ladies received a bottle of wine each. A big thanks to those who donated the prizes.

Remember to get your team together for Gala Day on Sunday the 13th of September. There are some fantastic prizes up for grabs on the day. Also raffle tickets are now available to purchase.

Take care everyone, enjoy the rest of the week & the weekend.

An overcast, calm & very cold day for golf on Tuesday the 7th of July. The course was not too bad considering the amount of rain recently. The format was Stableford for all players plus it was the July Monthly Medal for the 18-hole ladies. The 9-hole ladies were on the Par 3 course to make it easier for them given carts had to stay on the paths.
A very good field of 46 players (35*18-hole & 19-hole players), still turned up to play (including 2 men) as well as Diane Tullberg & Judy Hunter who played a social 9-holes as usual.
