Don't forget to get your entries in for the upcoming 2026 Seaside Pirates Masters Swimming Club IPS Meet, to be held on Sunday 14 June at Knox Grammar School Aquatic Centre!

Please note that swimmers are restricted to three (3) individual swims plus one relay, with swimmers only able to compete in one 100m event as part of the program. There is also a 400m race on offer for those looking to practice their long distance!

Congratulations to our five Ryde Masters swimmers who headed to the Central Coast last weekend for the Mingara Masters Pelicans IPS meet! 🏊

Although a little cold and wet outside, swimmers were heating up the pool inside with some great swims post-Nationals, with our Women's 4x50m Freestyle relay team posting the fastest women's time across all age groups! Well done ladies! 🏆

Thank you also to Amanda for the happy snaps of our swimmers at the event! 📸

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the next IPS meet at Knox Grammar in a few weeks. Go Ryde! 🩷💙

And that brings us to the end of the 2026 Masters Swimming Australia National Championships! ✨🏊

Well done to Helen for completing the 800m Freestyle today - that is a monumental effort after four days of racing already! 💪

Congratulations to the whole team for their efforts across the week. You have represented Ryde Masters and NSW with pride and distinction!

A big thank you as well to Masters Swimming Australia, and in particular MSQ Masters Swimming Queensland, for putting on such an excellent National Championships! We will see you all next year in Perth!

Day 4 of the Masters Swimming Australia National Championships marked the final races of the meet for Mark, Annalisa, and Aimee - and what a day it was! Mark and Annalisa ended on a high, adding another four medals to the Club tally between the two of them, while Aimee added another four Personal Best swims to her meet results after a massive day of racing.

Club Nationals Medal Tally:
🥇 1 x Gold Medal
🥈 4 x Silver Medal
🥉 5 x Bronze Medal

Helen still has one final day of swimming, as she tackles the 800m Freestyle tomorrow! We wish her the best of luck!

The muscles are starting to ache, and the body is starting to fatigue, but Day 3 of the Masters Swimming Australia National Championships didn't disappoint at all! ✨

Highlights for our four Ryde Masters swimmers include:

7⃣ Helen adding another National Top 10 finish to her tally, this time in the 400m Backstroke!
🥉 Mark and Annalisa both brought home bronze medals in the 50m Breaststroke for their respective age groups, taking their medal tallies to three a piece!
💪 After a cracking PB in the 200m Backstroke yesterday, Aimee took it one further today with a 34-second PB in the 400m Backstroke this afternoon!

Plus, we all got to witness the sprint masterclass that is Cam McEvoy in the 25m Freestyle! What a swim!

Keep up the great work team - bring on Day 4! Go Ryde! 🩷💙

Day 2 brought even more success for our swimmers at the Masters Swimming Australia National Championships in Brisbane! 🏊

Annalisa added another silver medal to her collection, Helen had her first National Top 10 finish, and Aimee put together a great swim in the 200m Backstroke, with a 9-second smashing of her previous personal best time to go under three minutes in a time of 2:57.33! 💪

🥉 1 x Bronze Medal

Day 3 will bring more action from our Ryde swimmers across six different events, from 25m Freestyle to 400m Backstroke ✨

What a start for our swimmers at the Masters Swimming Australia National Championships in Brisbane! 🏊

All four swimmers produced at least one Personal Best swim, Annalisa and Mark are already coming home with some shiny bling, and Mark pulled off an incredible gold medal-winning swim for his 400m Butterfly race this afternoon, smashing his own State and National Short Couse record by almost four seconds! 🏆

Everyone dives back into the water tomorrow for the 400m Freestyle, 100m Breaststroke, 200m Backstroke, and 50m Butterfly events ✨

🏊 Masters Swimming NSW State Long Course Championships 2026 🏊

What a weekend! Congratulations to our 16 Ryde Masters swimmers who competed at the State Championships earlier this month, coming away with some fantastic results! ✨

8⃣th place overall out of 43 clubs
6⃣th place overall for relays out of 22 clubs
🥇 12 x Gold Medals
🥈 12 x Silver Medals
🥉 15 x Bronze Medals

A special congratulations to our two gold medal-winning relay teams, particularly our Women's 4x50m Freestyle Relay team (160-199) and Dani, who stormed home on the final lap, moving up from a tight third place to first! 🏆

We now look ahead to this week and the Masters Swimming Australia National Championships in Brisbane, where we have four members competing - best of luck to Mark, Annalisa, Helen, and Aimee in all of your events!
