Yesterday marked the beginning of our tournament schedule for the year, and it was an excellent day all around. The weather was ideal and the level of tennis was great.
Peyton competed in her first tournament and performed admirably, recording one match win and a very narrow loss, with her opening match lasting an impressive hour, fighting back from being down 4-1 to take it to a 5-5 tie break and not quite being able to get over the line for the win. She demonstrated outstanding commitment and resilience by completing all six of her scheduled matches.
Zara delivered a strong performance throughout the day, showing great effort and focus. She won five of her six matches, with her only loss a closely contested 6–5 result. Her dedication to both her training and match play was evident, resulting in her securing the overall title in the 10 & Under division.
