Club History:
-The earliest records of the Rupanyup Football Club date back to the 1870s. The club's earliest games were played against Coromby, Minyip, Murtoa and Warracknabeal.
-1891 Rupanyup win Wimmera District Football Association premiership (Phillips Cup) Rupanyup 2.8 (20) d Warracknabeal Imperials 1.2 (8).
-1894 Rupanyup win their second Wimmera District Football Association premiership

-1899 Rupanyup win their third and final Wimmera District Football Association premiership.
-1902 Wimmera Football Association formed between Horsham, Stawell and Ararat.
-In 1903 Rupanyup played Warracknabeal, Minyip and Murtoa for the Lister Martin Trophy. The Sparks trophy between Stawell, Ararat, Horsham and Murtoa was also contested.
-1906 Rupanyup become a founding club of the Borung and Dunmunkle Shire Football League.
-1921 Rupanyup joined Wimmera District Football League along with Warracknabeal, Minyip and Murtoa after the merger of the Borung and Dunmunkle League and Wimmera Football Association joining existing WFA teams Ararat, Horsham and Stawell.
-1923 Dimboola join the WDFL competition followed by Nhill in 1925.
-1929 Rupanyup pull out of Wimmera DFL.
-1933 Rupanyup are a founding member of the Mid Wimmera FL along with Dimboola, Minyip, Murtoa and Nhill.
-1934 Wimmera DFL and Ballarat FL merge. The League now known as the Horsham DFL is first instigated with the merger of Horsham Junior FA and Horsham Junior FL to form what was known then as the Horsham Junior District FL.
-1936 Rupanyup commence playing in the South Wimmera FL where they remain until the outbreak of World War II. Competing teams included Marnoo, Landsborough, North-Western, Swifts, Joel Rovers, Warriors and Glenorchy. Rupanyup win the South Wimmera Grand Final in 1936, 13.11 (89) d Marnoo 11.14 (80).
-1937 Wimmera Football League forms after splitting with the Ballarat Football League.
-1940-45 South Wimmera League falls into recess during the war. Rupanyup play in the Central Wimmera League for the one season in 1940 against Dimboola 2nds, Horsham 2nds, Murtoa 2nds, Natimuk and Pimpinio.
-1941-45 Rupanyup, Minyip and Murtoa play in a Dunmunkle competition sporadically during the war.
-1945 Horsham Junior District Football League reforms. The League drops the 'junior' title to become the Horsham District Football League in 1947.
-1946 Rupanyup admitted to the Wimmera Football League along with Jeparit. Other competing teams include Ararat, Dimboola, Horsham, Minyip, Murtoa, Nhill, Stawell and Warracknabeal.
-1957 Mick Sibun appointed coach, one of the most accomplished players to have played for Rupanyup.
-1961 Rupanyup wins its first Wimmera League premiership defeating Stawell 18.5 (113) to 9.13 (55).
-1963 Rupanyup defeats Nhill to secure its second premiership in the WFL.
-1973 Rupanyup wins its third and final premiership in the WFL defeating arch-rival Murtoa.
-1980 marks Rupanyup's final year in the Wimmera FL.
-1981 Rupanyup joins the Horsham District Football League after struggling to field competitive sides in the WFL.
-1985 Rupanyup win their first HDFL flag defeating Noradjuha followed by a back-to-back flag in 1986 defeating Laharum.
-1990 Rupanyup win their third premiership in the HDFL defeating Quantong.
-1996-97-98 Rupanyup complete a three-peat of flags in the HDFL. Led by legendary Rupanyup coach and former Donald player Paul Brooks, the Panthers defeat Natimuk, Goroke and Kalkee respectively.
-2000 Rupanyup Football Club and Rupanyup Netball Club merge to form the Rupanyup Football Netball Club.
-2001 Rupanyup win their 7th premiership in HDFL defeating Kalkee 17.9 (111) to 12.3 (75). During this season Rupanyup debut a navy blue clash guernsey for games played against Kalkee. The navy blue and white Panther monogram honour the colours and history of the neighbouring Marnoo Football Club which went into recess in 2000.
-2009 Old footy sheds demolished.
-2010 Played home games at Murtoa and Minyip due to construction of the Rupanyup Community Centre.
-2011 Rupanyup Community Centre officially opened and used for all home games.
