from SSAA National:
Dear Members,
If we don’t take action now, our sport will disappear. It sounds alarmist but the facts are these:
* NSW is the second biggest fi****ms market in the country.
* If NSW market drops out because of changes to legislation, many Australian manufacturers and importers will be in danger of closing.
* Gun shops will close and new fi****ms will be difficult to come by.
* If they win in NSW, they will come for all of us and we need to fight back now. They need to know we will speak up for our sport and our fellow shooters.
* You can’t afford to think that you can’t or don’t have to do anything. You can and you should. Numbers matter to politicians. Take it from me - I used to be one. Let’s show them our numbers. Let’s show them that we will stand up for our sport.
* If you don’t act now, shooting could disappear from Australia.
Please take action. Please sign the petition and help yourself and your fellow shooters in NSW.
The SSAA can’t advocate effectively on your behalf if you don’t do your bit from time to time.
Share this with every shooter you know now, then sign the petition.
We need to make this the biggest petition ever presented to the NSW parliament, and we need your help.
The time is now. The bill will be in Parliament on Monday.

Finally, keep using our key points in your conversations and on social media:
1. Gun laws weren’t the problem. Intelligence sharing was.
2. Current gun laws were adequate to prevent the Bondi Terrorist Attack if the federal government had shared information it had about these terrorists.
3. None of the law changes proposed would have prevented this terrorist attack.
4. Changes to gun laws are an $15 billion ineffective distraction from doing the hard work that would make a difference.
Stand with Australians calling for real counter-terror action. Close intelligence gaps, enable fast police response and Keep Australia Safe. Sign up now.
