At just 14 years old, Cooper Armstrong almost carried his team, DRS, to an incredible victory on Sunday.

With the weight of the chase resting heavily on his shoulders, Cooper produced an innings well beyond his years. His shot-making was a joy to watch — crunching cover drives, piercing cut shots, and then unleashing a range of modern T20 strokes that had the ball flying to all corners of the ground.

What impressed most wasn't just the runs, but the composure, confidence, and maturity he showed under pressure. Cooper very nearly pulled off a one-man rescue mission and reminded everyone why he's one of the most exciting young talents in LMS Gold Coast.

Every now and then a captain makes a decision that leaves everyone scratching their heads.

On Sunday, DRS skipper Brad Dooley threw the new ball to Nick Jaeger. A brave call that surprised his teammates, puzzled the opposition, and even raised a few eyebrows from the umpire! 😲😂

But what followed was a masterclass.

Nick hit his areas from ball one, strangling the GC Wanderers' scoring rate and putting the brakes on their innings. His four-over spell of **2 wickets for just 19 runs** ripped through the top order and ensured the Wanderers could never really get going.
