Feeling both calm and energised for the day ahead.

Don't forget to breathe... I tell this to myself throughout the day and whilst it sounds silly... we all breathe right!? It helps to focus on the slow calming breath when things get busy.

Got my act together this week and planned and prepped my meals.

I make lunches for everyone else every day and yet I forget about myself which leads me to eating whatever I can get my hands on and usually too much of it!! πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ€£

So, today's early start called for my baked porridge crumble which I baked in bulk on Monday!

Red hot sweaty mess this morning!!!

Started the day with an early 6km run which turned into a nice little speed session!!! πŸ₯΅πŸ₯΅ Thanks Hils!!!! 🀣😍

Then decided to chill out with some Netflix and take advantage of hubby's bike set up in the gym for an hour. 🀣

Over 700 cals done and dusted for the morning.

I'm aiming to burn 500 calories a day throug exercise and control my daily calorie intake as I know that's what works for me if I want to see an increase in fitness and a decrease in centimetres!!

Today was one of those days... busy busy getting things done and making sure everyone was looked after, forgetting about myself! It started early, I struggled even dragging my butt out of bed and didn't get my workout done first thing!!

Left me feeling cranky and irritable, also disappointed as I have set myself a little daily goal of burning 500 calories in a workout every day and I wasn't close.

So..... I did something I hate! I ran in the middle of the day... it was slow going and hard work. But.. it was about getting it done. Not because I wanted to but because I had to!! Just get it done, one foot in front of the other.

And guess what, the day just got better after it was done!

Set yourself goals, commit to a small daily goal and then make sure you DO IT!

Holy moly.... that was a killer session this evening!!!7minute AMRAP5 Burpees3 Hand Release push ups 30 Mountain Climber...

Holy moly.... that was a killer session this evening!!!

7minute AMRAP
5 Burpees
3 Hand Release push ups
30 Mountain Climbers

Followed by a 10 to 1.... (10 reps of each, then 9, then 8... down to 1!)
Push ups
Squat jumps
Donkey kick ups

Finishing off with a

5min EMOM
Every minute do:
10 sit ups
10 plank shoulder taps
plank hold for remainder of minute!!:

When I'm feeling less than motivated, I do the same thing I tell all of my PT clients.

Just start!!! Do 10 minutes and see how you feel. If it's a no go, then stop...otherwise you might just find a little more mojo.

An EMOM workout (Every Minute On The Minute) is a great way to get bang for your buck.
Set a timer and a number of reps and go for it!

Today I set a timer for 10 rounds and every minute I did 10 burpees.

10min = 100 burpees. Well 9m34s actually but who's counting!!! ;) πŸ˜‚πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ˜

Then found I had a little more in me so added in a couple of sets.
21-15-9 reps of deadlifts/handstand shoulder taps
21-15-9 back squats /banded pull ups

Felt good to sweat!!!

Now feeling good I think I can tackle three rest of the online learning day!
